Nope. My suggestion to you is that if my opinion bothers you so much you stop replying to it.Knightt wrote:Yes, you are the ONLY one who is correct here.
My suggestion is that you go find another message board.
Greg added an extremely convenient ignore feature. Use it, I sure as hell am going to.
Congratulations, btw, you're the first person on this board I put on ignore.

My regret is that people here don't seem interested in discussing anything to do with VALIANT anymore.Technique wrote:I honestly don't know why I responded to your post in the first place. For that I apologize.ManofTheAtom wrote: Yep. Aparently I'm the only one here who waited a decade for real VALIANT comics, while everyone else (after weeks of arguing about it) still wants VH 4, a line of comics that includes a freaking goat who's on a first name basis with the Legion of Super-Heroes.
What in the hell does that have ANYTHING to do with VALIANT comics?
Your "broken record" reputation precedes you. I knew what your response would be since it's the same thing every time.
I'll try and stay out of this conversation with you in the future.
Once again it's been proven that if I joined the chrous and sang along with "reboot, start after unity, and bring back the Goat!" this would have been a more pleasant conversation.
The ironic thing is that I have found people in other boards more willing to discuss this, people I've pushed to come here, but what's the point when people here don't want to see VALIANT comics, they want DC lite?
At least there's some hope with the new members. VALIANTWonder seems to get it.ValiantWonder wrote:Maybe VALIANT Entertainment and a large Comicbook Industry savy investor should first try to restore the ORIGINAL VALIANT UNIVERSE CONTINUITY INCLUDING THE VALIANT COMICS LOGO AND TYPEFACE. Then, try licensing Magnus, Solar & Turok once again from Gold Key.

Then go to those other boards and talk your rhetorical trash.ManofTheAtom wrote:The ironic thing is that I have found people in other boards more willing to discuss this, people I've pushed to come here, but what's the point when people here don't want to see VALIANT comics, they want DC lite?
You do not have the authority to speaks for others, yet you do this again and again.
You do not have the qualifications to say what is right and what is wrong, yet you do this again and again.ManofTheAtom wrote:people here don't want to see VALIANT comics, they want DC lite?
This is really sad, the fact that a grown man (who was banned from previous behavior just like this) cannot take control of his actions and act responsibly on a message board. It is like a small child whom you are trying to train not to conduct negative behavior... and the child keeps on doing it and doing it and doing it.ManofTheAtom wrote:What they SHOULDN'T do is put it in the same universe as the other VALIANT titles because IT DOESN'T FIT.
Some people are just not trainable.
Yeah I would go ahead and bury my head in the sand if I was wrong and was being confronted by someone who knew I was wrong as well.ManofTheAtom wrote:Congratulations, btw, you're the first person on this board I put on ignore.
This is JUST like what a child would do... 'la la la, I can't hear you' and 'la la la, I am closing my eyes so that means you don't exist.. la la la'
Well done.

If the new owners don't include Q&W in the new books, that will tell me that they don't care whether their new launch makes it or not. Q&W probably has the best chance of suceeding moreso than most of the VH1 books - save maybe X-O and Bloodshot - maybe.
But if they are wise businessmen or hell.... even have good taste in comics, Q&W will be back under the reigns of Priest and Bright.

Oh, so that justifies making it more important for Vincent to party with Saturn Girl, because it has the better chance of selling.400yrs wrote:If the new owners don't include Q&W in the new books, that will tell me that they don't care whether their new launch makes it or not. You do realize that they can publish a Q&W WITHOUT making it part of the VALIANT Universe?
Marvel published Barbie without making her part of the Marvel Universe, and DC published Dexter's Lab without making it part of the DC Universe.
Quantum & Woody in the VALIANT Universe is like that idiotic Scooby Doo and Batman crossover.

Scooby Scooby Doo.....
Too bad that's the kind of VALIANT comics the consensus wants to see...

Man, you've got a hard-on for the goat. *SQUEE* the goat. The goat wasn't what made that book great. In fact, when I think Q&W, I never think goat!!!......<pant pant>.....goooooaaaaat.ManofTheAtom wrote:Oh, so that justifies making it more important for Vincent to party with Saturn Girl, because it has the better chance of selling.400yrs wrote:If the new owners don't include Q&W in the new books, that will tell me that they don't care whether their new launch makes it or not. Yeah, but it wouldn't be smart to do that. Publishing them outside the main titles is akin to treating the books as red-headed stepchildren. The sales of the books (and valiant company sales) would suffer because of it. They shouldn't be and don't have to be tightly woven into the fabric of the valiant world, but to be given the Armed & Dangerous or Eggheads treatment would just doom the book and the company in the longrun.ManofTheAtom wrote:You do realize that they can publish a Q&W WITHOUT making it part of the VALIANT Universe?

I'd rather have decent stories from a company that can stay running for several years and be getting "DC Lite"

So the company depends solely on Quantum & Woody, a comic of which they may only own half of in the first place.
Let me say that again...
The future of VALIANT hinges on QUANTUM AND WOODY
Give me a break.

From what's been said here and elsewhere, yeah, that's what the consensus wants the new comics to be like.Brother J wrote:...or not.ManofTheAtom wrote:

So far it's been said that the entire future of VALIANT hinges on a comic where the leads talk to the audience and their pet goat's on a first name basis with the members of the futuristic comic book Legion of Super-Heroes published by another publisher.
Does that sound like a VALIANT comic to you?

Q&W comes with the goat, you can't have one without the other.400yrs wrote:ManofTheAtom wrote:So the company depends solely on Quantum & Woody, a comic of which they may only own half of in the first place.

Just for the record I love the Goat and Quantum and Woody, great book. That's all I really want, great books to read. Q&W can fit in with the rest of the Valiant U. Punx is part of the Valiant U and you know what I loved that book as well. I can fit and probably should be made to fit. Some things will have to change but change is good sometimes.

So Q&W and PunX are the measuring stick by which the new VALIANT should be judged.dellamorte wrote:Just for the record I love the Goat and Quantum and Woody, great book. It was about action figures and bringing back old VALIANT continuity, then it turned into how cool it be if Vincent Van Goat could bring the Legion of Super-Heroes over from DC to party with the other VALIANT heroes.400yrs wrote:Was this at one point, a thread about VALIANT action figures? Not at all. The measuring stick should be entertaining comics. I for one enjoyed both books. Were they silly as all hell? You bet they were but I had a good time reading them. When I spend my money on entertainment the measuring stick I use is weather or not I enjoyed what I purchased. I like a bit of lighthearted humor in my comics. Should the whole universe be one big joke? No but there is a place for it. In the early Valiant it was A&A in the late Valiant it was Punx and in VH2 it was Q&W. I don't have faith in many people doing A&A right but a good Q&W series could happen and it could fit in the new Valiant. So Q&W and PunX are the measuring stick by which the new VALIANT should be judged.
Good grief.

A series that has a Goat who's on a first name basis with DC's Legion of Super-Heroes and the leads talk to the audience about the legality of using the "N-Word" has no place in a universe that bills itself as being built on "hard science and a real world setting".
The only way Q&W fits in the VALIANT Universe is if you throw away the hard science and real world setting aspects, and once you do that then it stops being VALIANT, it becomes VH 4.

Tell you what, fellas. Just stop responding to MOTA's posts. It is the same old $hit as last time which will lead nowhere. Stop posting, take away his ammunition. Many of you have seen how utterly pointless it is to discuss this topic with the kid.
PLEASE just stop responding to him and let it die because if you don't he will drone on and on and and on and.... you get the picture.
Just stop... this is not good for the boards.
