WHAT I FOUND FOR ABOUT $2 EACH. back in the Valiant game!!

Post by alexarc »

Remember reading Wizard magazine back in the day and seeing every pre unity Valiant issue go for about $50-100 and thinking you would never be able to buy an issue for less than a leg? well..

There was a sale at my local comic shop in Cleveland this weekend, and i found BUTTload of valiant back Issues, each in near mint condition, and each sold for the cover price:

MAGNUS #0, 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, AND 12
RAI #0, 1, AND 3 the one with the low print run
HARBINGER #1 with coupon
SOLAR #1,2, AND 10 first print. and there's still more for me to get.

These issues go along with the XO #1 and Solar #3 I bought back in the day. Now I have all the Pre Unity #1's except for Shadowman, and some other pretty important issues. Now Im back to collecting Valiant!!

I thought I would share it with you guys. If anybody could appreciate this story.........

Great find. I would love to find a Rai #3 at a store for $2. Does the Magnus #0 have the card?

thanks,

&No, it was the retailer incentive, but I was still floored to see a Magnus #0 in any back issue bin for 2 bucks. that was the one issue I never thought I would have.

and the Rai #3, I remembered loving the cover when I saw it in Wizard. I didnt know how rare it was until I checked the Valiantfans database. I love this site.

Welcome to the boards! :)

Be careful saying things like "gold Unity #0"...
I'm sure you meant gold Unity #1, since gold Unity #0 doesn't exist...
but you'll get these guys into a frenzy thinking it does.

Fantastic deal on those books... of course, this means we have to hate you now. :thumb:
