Question about "The Visitor"

Post by X-O Manowar0415 »

Someone told me once that "The Visitor" was suppose to be Archer but that many readers figured it out, and so the Valiant ptb changed their minds at the last minute and made him to be Peter. Does anyone know if this story is true or not? :hm:

news to me...i always assumed it was meant to be pete stanchek because he was an omega harbinger and visitor had a omega symbol right on his chest.

also he had a mad-on for anything to do with harada...which archer, up until the end anyway, didn't seem to be concerned about toyo in the least.

anyone else heard this before?

Nope, first I've heard of it too. Maybe Bernard could shed some light.

Doubt it. They said from early on that "once you know who the Harbinger is, you know who the Visitor is".

Yep. The Harbinger was current Pete. Visitor was Pete from the future. Visitor died in the last issue or so, and Pete took on the Visitor identity.

The Visitor was the Pete Stanchek first established in Vanhook's "Harbinger Wars Trilogy" in Timewalker.

Thanks for clearing that up for me "KV"! I owned a comic book store back at the time, and one day this guy came in and told me that he had heard...blah blah blah. I also found it hard to believe, but to this day I always wondered if he was right. Thanks again for the info! :thumb:

visitor was peter stanchek from the future since day one. harbinger was peter stanchek of the present, being controlled by harada.

there were a lot of herrings thrown around to deflect rumors.

some of you will note that a previously drawn version of the futuristic peter had actually appeared prior to visitor 1 in an issue of timewalker (i think), but since the art in that issue didn't match up to the previously established valiant continuity, an editorial decision was made to bypass that version for a newer version i had developed with the "barcode" on the head.

btw, visitor 13 suffered a printer mishap, thus leading to the extra "thick" lines in the book.

Not the first time that has happened to a comic. But still ashame it had to happen on the last issue.

Anyone know what causes this?

I heard that Bernard decided to 'ink it with a El Marko MagicMarker' while recovering from a 4 day binge in Tijuana with TWO sets of twins, a bulldog and an albino monkey named Jeremiah.

But... I could have mis-heard that. 8-)

I saw on a message board that it was Joshua, not Jeremiah.
