Just reread Unity.
Only the second time I read the whole thing. First time was when it came out, twelve years ago!
I was surprised how much I forgot:
- forgot that Ernie Colon did the art on some of the Magnus issues.
- forgot that Shadowman got burnt to a crisp and lived
- forgot how funny A&A was
- forgot that there were TWO Gilads!
- forgot that Turok made an appearance
I feel like a poor excuse for a Valiant fan!
OT:
I went on business trip this week and I knew I had lots of downtime to eat up so I packed a small stack of comics to read in my carry-on including Unity.
A security girl, hot as hell, at the airport in Calgary looked through my bag:
Her: Are these comics?
Me: uh, Yea
Her: (weird look) Cute!
Me:
I'll stick to books and tech manuals next time for reading fodder...

LOL, Lobo.
I too have forgotten many of those Valiant stories read over a decade ago and am also re reading them.
Recently my wife and daughters have shown some interest so it's our family bonding time to read Valiants together. I gave my 5 year old a couponless copy of Harbie 1 to play with, hehe. My wife also likes me reading them to her (over 9 months pregnant... we're delivering on MONDAY, AUG 2nd, MY BIRTHDAY!) Whoo hooo!
I read Alpha and Omega to my wife the other day and made it through issue 3 of Solar. It's alot harder reading a comic out loud than a regular book I'm finding out. I think I'm a complete nerd now after cracking up laughing reading a comic while my wife tries to figure out what's so funny. I tell her it's all a process, she'll "get it" later.
She wonders why these books haven't already been adapted into movies as they have all the production quality and great story telling of an epic drama. Perhaps someday.
Either way my kids will have some cool books to read when they get a bit older. I forgot just how violent Bloodshot was until I cracked one open to read to the family... ummm maybe not this one kids!

Congratulations SOTU. Two kids is a whole new ball game, it's almost as much of a change in your life as the first one. You'd have to ask Knight what six kids is like though.
Some of those comics can be pretty rough for kids. I was in an LCS the other day and while I was going through stuff my 6-year-old was leafing through a copy of Shadow Hawk in the 25-cent bin (it was in there because they didn't have a "free" bin, I guess). I'd rather he wouldn't look at tasteless, violent crap like that.

Thanks Guys! Correction, it's my 3rd!!
Seems like the first 8 and a half months drag by then things speed waay up.
When the baby first comes out they tend to look kinda funy so I may have to hold off on posting a picture depending on how she looks.
I don't care what anyone says... and I think both my daughters are fantastic and were beautiful when they were born, but ... newborns aint the cutest things, if you know what I mean.
They actually look alot better after a few days. It can actually be quite a shock to see your kid's head litterally shaped like a cone and have the doctor consider it "normal".
