How much influence has THIS website had on Valiants resurge?
I think its a VERY interesting question, because this site has indeed had a TREMENDOUS influence in the popularity of Valiant Comics, and their resurgence.
Prices are quoted from the Valiant Comics.com archives for various industry periodicals. Vast amounts of information, and research materials are found and used everyday from this site.
In my opinion, the depth of information, accuracy, passion, and overall quality of this website, helps to give the Valiant books themselves, a real legitimate source of history, which is vital to ANY potential legacy. All of this has helped propel the interest and passion of Valiant books once again, but as this website clearly has proven, don't believe the hype...these books DO have a important following.

I'll agree that this site has certainly not only sparked interest (really, I mean, look at the amazing design, thoroughness, and load times) but is often the driving force behind the prices we see on e-bay. The print run numbers have sent some items through the roof. And the checklist has made bidding fools of us all, having to have today what we didn't know existed yesterday.

I know that I would not be this far along in my colelction had I not found this site...Plus I have bought a huge portion on my collection off of this board. But then again I do feel like this site is good for the people that kinda already liked valiant comics anyway and will probably not be bringing new people into the fold...It does have plenty of room for growth though and I am sure that if wizard ever runs any articles about valiants and with the overstreet stuff we could see some real this site weilding some real power on the comic books industry. Think if it valiants start to get popular again this will be the place that everyone looks to for information about the comics and more importantly their prices...lets face it prices drive this industry.

That's a riot!uruchuu wrote:Good job everyone involved. If Valiant ever makes a major comeback, Greg, be prepared for CNN, FOXNews etc to start contacting you!

Let's take it one step at a time, shall we?
According to the 2003 Overstreet #33,
Harbinger #0 Pink and Harbinger #1 are worth $6 each.
If Overstreet hasn't noticed... we're not as "resurging" as we might think.

Okay, men. We've got resurgents on the rise! We must fight them with everything you've got!
Many of you will not be coming home after this. But let me say that I'm proud of each and every one of you will to give their lives to fight these miscreants.
MOVE OUT!
Oh wait. 'resurgence'! My bad.
Sorry about the mortars landing on the lawn, Greg. And the .50 cals going through your window.
Hey, it was an honest mistake!

If you had invited me to the fight we could have had some CAS, and dropped a few laser guided bombs.steverino wrote:Okay, men. We've got resurgents on the rise! We must fight them with everything you've got!

I thought I was the only one to feel that way about Sigma Six...Jay Tomio wrote:Acclaim was like the our Sigma Six (well to me) - rubbish that actually felt like being stabbed in the back (or in the eyes) when reading it, when all I wanted was the stuff I grew up on.
I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

but when that happens.... the question remains...... what impact, if any, has this site had......
I, for one, think it is an interesting question.......
we'll just have to wait until the new books come out........
