No idea.

That freak in the Superman costume was there.

I didn't stay to find out. ;)
I love that guy, he's the same one who's always outside Manns Chinese chatting up the black Wonder woman.

A little off the beaten path but a good haul Dino. I would have snapped that up in a second.

250 Valiant titles for $.50 Each, including shipping and handling, and came with Magnus #2, 6, Harbinger #7, 10, X-O #5, every issue that supposed to include a card came witha card, the other 50 or so comics were all of the Defiants that the guy had along with his Continuity Comics, and a few Marvel titles I needed to fill holes for 50 cents each, I don't think that's at all bad?

Not bad at all, Xero. All for less than somebody paid for one X-O gold. Buying in big lots is the best way to get things rolling, especially if shipping was covered. That's pretty expensive for a full long box.

I think that a lot of people saw that one but were scared off by the "I would say that these books vary from in FN to NM condition. Slight corner nicks and slight spince creases appear to be the only offenders". Not worth the risk IMO. I thought about asking for clarification but I got the impression from the description that the seller really does not know grading or that the wide range is a great way to cover their @$$ because the books are heavily skewed towards the FN range. I hope that they are all great. If they are actually in the NM range then this may just be the deal of the month.

Heck, I'd pay $55 for one NM Magnus #0. Hopefully, at least one is. We'll see when I get them.

It looks great!! I almost most missed it amongst the regular #1 covers as the box I was looking through was under a table. I went passed it twice before I saw it. Goes to show that its worth the time to thumb through every single book.

I just pulled a few nice NM/MT VVSS books :Rai #9 & #21, Magnus #25, X-O database #1 . Here is where it gets strange: X-O #14 & 15 signed by Sears both #1061/5000 sealed in a Valiant holder with a gold seal of auth.
then I also found a dark dominion #1 signed by Shooter with 3 defiant promo cards /5000. Any ideas?? also a MINT X-O gold #0! :D all for $10.

I got the books today. All the keys are in NM or better. There are a few of the rest that have the Valiant corners, but nothing major. I'm a happy guy!!

Well, I thought this was a good deal.....

Here's an auction I caught pretty quickly with the BIN:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 2259115692

What's so special about this lot? The two Visitor vs. Valiant Universe books are the newsstand editions with the $2.50 and the UPC code. Unfortunately, when I got the books, I found the condition was overstated. Three of the four books had spine creases and dinged corners, being VF at best in my opinion. I wrote an e-mail to the seller chastising them about their grading, but I doubt if anything will come out of it. Luckily, the one book that was indeed NM was the Visitor vs. Valiant Universe #1 newsstand copy, so I'll probably put that one up for sale if anyone needs it.

I wish there was some way I could magically halt the use of the words 'mint condition' from people who don't know what they're doing. To idiots who don't know any better (and shouldn't be calling it that to begin with) if the COVER'S still attached, it must be 'mint condition'.

God, this frosts me.

Oh, I know what you meant.
But you'll never get sellers to honestly look at their own books.
It's like asking someone to describe the ugliness of their baby.
If the book isn't priced like a reader, I don't bid...
unless it's been described as "near mint" or better by... someone "else".

Pessimist. ;)

There ARE people out there who can look at their books and grade them.

At LEAST 5 or 6.

I'm one of them.

Or, do you doubt the heights (or is that depths...?) of my anality...to, er...coin a word. ;)
