Valiant Movie - Poll
With all these new comic movies for some time that have been greeted with such success. When are we going to see a Valiant comic on the big screen? I know valiant comics might not be as recognizable as say, Superman, or the X-Men, but I think they would be a real success. All is needed is a good bank roll, great story line, and of course great special effects.
What Valiant characters do you guys think would make the best story line for a movie.
My choice would be XO-ManOWar. This would be perfect, starting in the Barbarian past, with the Spider Aliens picking up Aric, to the present with Aric running Orb Industries and fighting the Spider Aliens again.

i went with turok-although that would not be my first choice, or dream movie-i just think that a marketing guy in a movie studio would make that choice-and it could be a terrific movie...thinking along those lines i'd say:
turok then magnus then x-o...
but the best movie they could do would be shadowman...unfortunately that is also the one that could bomb the most if they didn't do it right.

actually dj-i think hard corps could be made into a terrific movie too-i really like the concepts they empoyed-and the books were interesting to me) all the way to CE...think about this:
opens in vietnam (or maybe somalia i guess to update it) that's the first 1/4 of the movie...all the characters get fleshed out then...of course they all get fatally wounded and it seems like the end and then zip to today-here they all are...with their nifty outfits and their powers. maniac and superstar both die similar deaths and at the end one of them gets "popped" for failure to comply... (which could lead to a sequel)
i think it could work.
i think you just don't like hard corps becos you're really depluto.

I voted for Magnus, although any of them could be made. I picked Mags because it said "Revolting Robots!"
I can hear it now!
"Magnus, the robots are revolting!"
"Really? I don't think they're all that bad....."
-slym (running for cover)

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

One wide shot of North Am and a couple minutes of Magnus going kung fu on some robots and they'll get over it.Daniel Jackson wrote:The problem with a Magnus movie is to the general public it might be considered a rip off of iRobot.
There are A LOT of movies that are similar to each other and people get over it if they enjoy the movie or haven't seen the previous one (Dark City/Matrix, ect)
why not Bloodshot.
I reckon the first few Bloodshot comics would make a great movie ending somewhere apropriate leaving it open for a sequel.
infact just thinking about it makes me want to write the script and start storyboardibg it myself. I would love to see bloodshot on screen.

I voted for X-O, but I agree that almost any of the characters would make a great movie.
I think The H.A.R.D. Corps would make a great movie after a Harbinger movie was made. It wouldn't make a whole lot of sense as a stand alone project unless you explained Harbingers in the beginning and after doing that you might as well make a Harbingers movie.
Also, let's not forget Archer & Armstrong, Ninjak, Dr. Mirage, Bloodshot and Timewalker - they are all great concepts for movies as well.
Just no Patrick Swayze as Dr. Mirage...ugh...
