Where to begin...

Well, first off...I am probably a bit younger than most of you. I went to a lcs the other day inquiring about Valiant comics and he said I was too young to be trying to complete my Valiant collection =) Anyway, I started collecting in the 90's back when Image released a bunch of crap that currently resides in my closet and a publisher named Valiant actually had some interesting comics.

I became intrigued by Valiant right around when Unity started, and at the time, pre-unity was incredibly expensive. I have Magnus #12 with an $80 price sticker on it for example, although I got it for a bit under half price when the comic store closed. Anyway, I have been lurking the forums and this site for a few years but finally got around to digging through my collection and buying some of the Valiants I was missing, so I decided that now was as good a time to post as any. Without this site and the Valiant fans I doubt I would have realized how much I used to enjoy the pre-unity stuff. So, thanks to you and it feels great to finally be registered on the forums!

Ah yes, I remember it well. Rai #3 and #4 were going for that as well. I also remember Harby #0 getting all the way up to 220 bucks around here. Welcome to the boards.

I was...9 when Unity started =) It's been fun going through my stuff though, I haven't looked at my comics in such a long time it's like a treasure hunt. Nothing incredibly rare but some cool stuff. I was a kid with an insatiable thirst for expensive comics lol and no idea what I was buying apparently. I remember getting Solar #10 and thinking wow this is a steal...I'm getting this comic for $15 and then a few hours later I notice the II, haha. Oh well, I got a few VVSS somewhere so I guess that sort of makes up for it.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

Man, that bites. I almost did that once too, but luckily I glanced back down at the cover before reaching the cash register.
