Ok..

here's the story on the Solar's..

Sean was approached by a company we all know to work on the Solar Statue he displayed at the show.

As has been mentioned, Sean will still produce an undetermined amount of these for the Valiantfans.com members who are interested for $100.00 each..

Because of this "opportunity" for Sean to have his name out there to the masses via this unnamed company he will be unable to sign the statues he makes for us.

What I can guarantee you is that while the ones made for this unnamed company will not be painted or hand crafted individually by Sean..

the ones for us will be one of a kind items..he will paint, and work on each 1 individually...as with the penguins..

This may very well be a once in a lifetime opportunity to be able to get a statue that Sean has taken the time with each individual piece.

Again, the statues Sean makes for us (VF.com) will each be individually worked on and painted by Sean...

The ones for the unnamed company will be using his sculpt and others will be doing the finishes and painting..

I can also mention that the bases, which at the show were mock-ups, will be designed so that an aftermarket lighting kit adaptor, can be used for the reactor's glow......again Sean himself will be doing this with these models. I am not sure about the others for the unnamed company.

Doesn't only one company own the rights to Solar so that one company would have to be the unnamed company? I am no Sherlock Holmes but c'mon.

here is the unfinished base...the center will pop out, a clear resin added and an aftermarket light will be added (hopefully)

this is extraordinarily cool news...but i still have to admit to having lingering questions about the nature of the vip and kothari/shamdasani organizations.

i assuming the "unnamed company" is the kothari/shamdasani group because the thought of vip/dynamic forces releasing 2 statues within 6 months is kinda silly.

but if kothari/shamdasani has been able to convince classic media to allocate the right to use solar from vip/dynamic forces to them instead then this whole thing is quite a potential "harbinger" on things to come.

does anyone have any idea when we might be hearing something official from the new owners regarding the state of affairs...a "state of the union" if you like.

we're all dying for details...no matter how small they may be.

Why are these photos called "Shadowmanpics"?

I took them all the same day and I called the folder shadowman pics forgetting that I had also taken pics of the solar statue

not sure if you are referring to Solar statue Sean and I are working on...if yes...this statue is being done on our own...

Neither VIP or Shamdasani/Khothari are involved in this in any way...

i was speaking more of the unnamed company who approached sean to do them at the nyc show.

if i'm understanding things correctly there'll be our version, with all hand done coolness by mr. chen and then a "mass produced" version that will be based off sean's previous work on "our" statue.

the unnamed company is the one that i'm wondering if there's any timetable for news on...it's either vip or kothari/shamdasani unless there's a 3rd player involved now.
