I thought we could do a book a day (that way people can read one every day or catch up on weekends), talk about it on its own, in the context of whats next, in regards to what expectations it creates and vote on how good it is. I don't have to be the one that posts everyday. If I miss a day or if someone wants to take over please do

For voting think of your single favourite comic book (not just VALIANT) as the benchmark - thats a 10 - and grade according to that.

Make sure to mention what you like'd about the book, what you didn't, what you wish they would have done, your favourite panels, lines of dialogue, little bits of trivia etc.

Not a bad issue, the Malevs try to recruit the freewill robots only to have Magnus show up and dismantle them. Tekla is blasted by one the Malevs and carried away. Magnus finally finds Leeja and realizes that they need allies in order to stop the Malevs and this plants the seed for Rai and the Future Force.

I liked some of Ostranders other work (Grimjack) but he seems to be making Magnus another superhero book...still better than most dreck out on the market at that time, but nothing compared to what it was...6
Why waste time learning, when ignorance is instantaneous?

Seaborn's synopsis:

The Malev Vizier is dispatched to Synchron to make contact with the freewills there. Leeja and M’Ree reestablish mental contact and M’Ree, though imprisoned, begins acting as an intelligence operative within the Malev operations. Magnus and a once-again human Izak recover at Synchron from the crash. Elzy and Slagger join forces with Leeja and Colonel Timbuc to aid Magnus. They arrive as the Malevs attack the Synchrons. Aligning themselves together, the freewills and humans destroy the Malev delegation, including the Vizier. They then go separate ways as the humans begin a resistance movement and the freewills fight from within by blending in with the remaining robots of North Am. The Malev Emperor takes control of the Mainbrain and all non-freewill robots. He then sends his forces against Japan.
