Interviews with people?

Post by cjv »

Has anyone tried to do any interviews with old members of Valiant staff/artists/writers? While obviously some things you wouldn't really want to ask people about, I think it would be great if Valiant Comcis.com could get some interviews from people. It would

a) Show the artist/writer/editor that there is still an interest in the work they did.

b) You could ask retrospective questions that might never have been suitably answered before (about the comics, directiosn they were going, etc). For example, I remember in one of the ValiantVisions "20 Questions", we asked Bob Hall about the origin of Shadowman, and what it was originally supposed to be. At the time he talked about Darque power and stuff like that, but never mentioned Lydia or spider aliens (which I think most people will agree was the point of the first story). Now that there is no "investment" in a title, maybe we can find out some behind the scenes answers?

That's a great idea. It would great to see what incite they could give. From what I've heard, most former Valiant creators are receptive to emails and what not. Heck, I just emailed Jim Shooter a couple days ago with a question and he graciously answered my question within a few hours.

Btw, does anyone have a scan or "transcript" of the 20 questions with Bob Hall? Sounds interesting...

Is there is list or directory somewhere that you can look up comic book artists/writers/etc?
