You know what needs to be cleaned up on this board? All the secrets and people covering for each other. VK's right, that we deserve a lot more honesty and openness than we're getting on this board.

I've been growing more and more disappointed in this board over the past 6 monthes over things like this and this weekend has been the kicker

I agree, I don't like all the secrets, but really, the new owners don't owe us anything. It would be nice, but it's not necessary. That's part of what they bought for the Mil - the right to do whatever they damn well want.

On the other hand, it's not a real wise idea to *SQUEE* off your small fan base, but if a few dudes at an online site are *SQUEE* off it's not really going to hurt because the target audience will be a lot bigger. From what we've seen so far, I doubt the owners will use this site as the "official" fan site if for no other reason, it's already established as the playground for us hooligans. The owners would probably want to start on a newly sodded field.

The new owners... I don't think that they 'owe' us anything but I can see where some folks feel but-hurt over the fact that one of the said 'new owners' is a long standing board member and now has become reclusive and quite possibly posting under faux-usernames. Posting as such does not lend to one's credibility or trustworthiness in some people's books. Nobody likes to be lied to or taken for a fool. Personally, I think that this is a great place to 'field ideas' from some relatively very knowledgable people in all things VALIANT. Yep, we got ups and down, attituedes both good and bad BUT if I want to go to a place on the net where there are people whom love... LOVE VALIANT comics, look no further than right here. But you have to take the good and the bad among us. I for one do not feel the need to bath and get myself all shiney for anyone just because they are the new owners, because if we do that... WE become the liars who are also untrustworthy.

You see people BASH Marvel and DC all the time... it doesnt seem to effect 'them'.

What do the new owners "owe" us? Nothing if they're working on there own business or just posting on here as fans. I don't have to know who who everyone in the same room with me is and I don't have to know what's going on at someone else's company.

But when you involve us in things, I think we deserve to be treated honestly. It's hard to say more with no response from xoken/dino but until I get one I won't be posting on the re-reading forum again.

A lot of people know a lot of things on this board. I've suspected a lot of dirty tricks with multiple accounts (aside from Dino) and people either remaining mum about it or purposely covering it up. This weekend just confirmed that for me.
