Re-Reading: X-O Manowar #55
I thought we could do a book a day (that way people can read one every day or catch up on weekends), talk about it on its own, in the context of whats next, in regards to what expectations it creates and vote on how good it is. I don't have to be the one that posts everyday. If I miss a day or if someone wants to take over please do
For voting think of your single favourite comic book (not just VALIANT) as the benchmark - thats a 10 - and grade according to that.
Make sure to mention what you like'd about the book, what you didn't, what you wish they would have done, your favourite panels, lines of dialogue, little bits of trivia etc.

More mundane stuff. Aric's battle with this new alien super villain kicks in full force. Nothing outstanding, just more of the same old things battle scenes just like the last 10 or so issues. I did find it odd that Aric just about loses the battle with the main villain, but turns around after defeating him and wipes out his fleet without so much as breaking a sweat.

I'm almost surprised Aric kept the armor on. He has always given it up when facing alien champions. I guess he's wisened up. All them alien races that show up get more and more powerful. Same stupid and illogical fighting as has become the norm these last issues. The very end of the story at least has the idea of presenting a threat to the whole world.
