i picked up these pages:
Solar #37 cover

Rai #30 Page 1

Psi-Lords #3 Page 1

i also picked up some nice batman prints from rodney ramos and tommy castillo, as well as a huge poison ivy castillo print. also picked up a couple exiles pages from jim calfiore.
cheap books were aplenty, and i was able to fill out some runs and narrow others down to some final issues. not much valiant to be found, which i found kinda odd.
the overall size and set up of the show was somewhat disappointing. i was thinking this was going to be much larger than it turned out to be.
but thanks to mr. john rosas, everything valiant related was awesome. the unity vfvss set was spectacular! the x-o print set from K_c is top notch! the rai penguin and solar prototype are amazing! the panels were also pretty fun. it was no holds barred on sunday
a big hand to john for all his hard work
the trip home last night was DREADFUL. i was on the same flight with justin (architect) and our plane left NY over an hour late. as soon as we landed we ran off the plane, only to find our connecting flight had left the minute we landed. we decided to hang out in the airport until morning (when we had a rebooked flight home)
as luck would have it, there was a frontier airline flight to denver that was running about 6 hours late. a bunch of people had to rebook so a bunch of seats opened up, and we were able to get home last night.
it was great meeting you guys out there! i'm hoping to make it out to san diego for a day or so, so hopefully we can all meet up again soon!

No man, it's not you, there were some really sweet pieces there, most of them have never been available because they were brought along by the colorists and inker and artists that actually did the stuff. How cool is that?jedimarley wrote:Another great piece that thought of getting.
Is it me, or was there some great art for sale at the con?
I know that the stack Andrew Wendell had was just sitting in his closet and he decided to bring it down and see who wanted it.
I am selling "nothing" on ebay-yet.

You guys are really making me jealous. Wish I could have been there. Of course if I did make it, some of you might not have gotten what you did.

I dunno, Brian is a little crazy about his original art... I don't think he can ever be satiated!jedimarley wrote:There was more then enough for everyone.x-omatic wrote:You guys are really making me jealous. Wish I could have been there. Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

First off, there is no Super Mario #8. There is an Adventures of Super Mario 8 and a Nintendo Comics System 8, though.jedimarley wrote:Well...Didn't pick up much...Not much there. Though Greg and I did pick up 27 issues of the price variant Super mario Bros. #8
So, which one is it and why is it a price variant? I think the Adventures issues were priced $1.50.

It was Adventures of Super Mario 8, cover priced at $1.50.ckb wrote:First off, there is no Super Mario #8. Since all my other Valiant Nintendo books are priced $1.95,
I was happy to pick up those books for under cover price.
Admittedly, I know very little about the pre-Hero Valiant books...
so I was happy to add the $1.50 book (with the newsprint paper)
to my small collection of otherwise $1.95 books.

All three of us shed tears my man, it was emotional for me watching Knight put the badges from his uniform he wore in Afghanistan at the base of one of the drawings that children had done for their lost ones.
