x-o/iron man variant
why is it that there is no cover scan of that comic on this site , and by the way if you consider xo 15 pink as a part of a 100% collection, then you will also need this variant to be 100%

What is the variant on the book?
I guess I thought there were only two books in that "cross-over"...

Agreed, I don't think you'd get anyone else to disagree with that statement either.valiantdude wrote:why is it that there is no cover scan of that comic on this site , and by the way if you consider xo 15 pink as a part of a 100% collection, then you will also need this variant to be 100%
Post a pic or a link if you find something that we don't know about!

wasn't there a promo type include with the gaem or given away at POS. I know TrU gives stuff away sometimes with new releases.greg wrote:What is the variant on the book?

I remember seeing that post. I think it was found it in a bargain bin?
I'd like to get ahold of one that's for sure! I'd also like to get a copy
of the game (even though I heard it was kinda lame).

X-O?Iron Man Variant
That would have been me. I found the thing in my local comic shop's bargain bin and was trying to find out what it was.
I can try to post it again, if people want to see it.

yes please post a picture so we can have one on the archive because it seems greg is lacking that picture. from talking to various comic shop ownwers around the usa about it . the general consensus was it was a comic that you could order seperatly but might not have been a "buy 10 get a variant" type deal.
i told you guys it exists (just like the solar #10 white newstand edition)

EDIT: Whoops, hit SUBMIT too soon.

look im just trying to shed light on the fact that there is a valiant comic, that is proven to exist, that we dont have a scan of. you guys dont have to be so rude. I just want to know more info abut the comic. i thought this board was about sharing info not ridiculing and discrediting. I thought we all cared.
It is a known variant. I was at a show the other day, and they 3 puked on Turok #1s on display. They even had a whole boxfull of the elusive water damaged Turok #1s.Knightt_333 wrote:I once puked on a Turok #1... does THAT make it a Variant as well ?
Kind of like YOUR Unity Variant R_D, but a bit more chunky.

Myron asked:
This is where it gets somewhat weird: the cover was from X-O Manowar/Iron Man, not Iron Man/X-O Manowar. It has Iron Man flying at you on the left side of the cover and X-O running at you on the right side. Again its the X-O/Iron Man cover. But the logo is clearly Iron Man/X-O. If you look at the original X-O/Iron Man a small red Valiant logo is above the X. But on this variant, the small red logo is above the O, just like it is on the Iron Man/X-O book. So I believe whoever published this thing took the cover image from X-O/Iron Man but used the logo from Iron Man/X-O. Confused yet?
Then, there is a vertical yellow stripe running the length of the right side of the comic. Inside this stripe are the words "GAME BOY GAME GEAR SEGA SATURN PLAYSTATION DOS CD-ROM".
At the bottom of the comic, there is a broad red horizontal stripe with yellow letters that says" VIDEO GAME NOW AVAILABLE."
The interior of the comic appears to be from the Acclaim X-O Manowar #1 Retailers Preview. It has B/W interiors. The first page is completely white, no artwork. The only things on the page is "X-O Manowar #1 by Mark Waid & Brian Augustyn, Shen Chen, Tom Ryder" in the middle of the page and in the lower right corner of the page is the following:
"Shipping in October from:
Acclaim Comics Inc.
275 Seventh Avenue
New York, NY 10001"
The first interior page of art is the splash page from X-O #1 (VH-2)in b/w. The indicia states this is X-O Manowar #1 Vol. 1 No. 1 October 1996 etc.
The back cover is a color ad for the X-O Manowar #1

I have it stashed away right now, but will dig it up this week and post more definitive information, but off the top of my head--can you give any more info on the book...number of pages, pencils, etc...to give an idea of what's up with it?

Many of us do. Your caring and sharing persona kinda went out the window when you spewing details of us being in denial and tall tales of getting $10 harbinger pinks, then telling others they can fight over what scraps are left like a pompus kid. The weird thing is, that same company lists the much lesser desirable blue Harbinger #0 for more than you supposedly paid for pinks ... so get a grip on where we're coming from. Just my 2p.valiantdude wrote:i thought this board was about sharing info not ridiculing and discrediting. I thought we all cared.
