God Bless Ya, Julie...we'll miss you....
Ok, so Julius Schwartz passed away earlier this year, and today was the first day I heard about it.
For those of you who don't know...Julie was a giant in the industry. Without Julie, Stan and Jack may never have put pen to paper and written FF#1, Fantasy #15, X-Men #1....the entire Silver Age started with an editor who was given the task of reviving characters that hadn't sold funny books in years....and took that task and made it his own....creating characters that endure to this day. Truly amazing.
Julie worked his entire career (that I know of) at DC comics, and he was there almost from the very beginning. His list of accomplishments is long and stellar, and I can't do it justice here, so I won't try.
We raise a glass to you, Julie.....
