Re-Reading: X-O Manowar #35
I thought we could do a book a day (that way people can read one every day or catch up on weekends), talk about it on its own, in the context of whats next, in regards to what expectations it creates and vote on how good it is. I don't have to be the one that posts everyday. If I miss a day or if someone wants to take over please do
For voting think of your single favourite comic book (not just VALIANT) as the benchmark - thats a 10 - and grade according to that.
Make sure to mention what you like'd about the book, what you didn't, what you wish they would have done, your favourite panels, lines of dialogue, little bits of trivia etc.

Quite a lot happening. Each thing well written. A new villain, actually not too different from Aric in his reasoning. Still it feels as if it's not getting anywhere.
An average issue.

So the villian can reanimate dead animals (specifically dinosaurs in this issue)? Okay, not bad (not great either). But nothing he animates could even slow down the Manowar armor. Why not put him up agianst someone like Turok who's in the same league?
They try to compensate for this by having Aric get drugged (seems like if he had enough time to say he felt funny he would've had enough time to summon the armor with a thought before he passed out) and then stripped of the ring. But we've been here before and it's getting old. This is compounded by the fact that Levins apparently can't draw a T-Rex very well.
Randy subplot is still cool. It reminds me of 24 in a good way.
Overall a 6.
