I thought we could do a book a day (that way people can read one every day or catch up on weekends), talk about it on its own, in the context of whats next, in regards to what expectations it creates and vote on how good it is. I don't have to be the one that posts everyday. If I miss a day or if someone wants to take over please do
For voting think of your single favourite comic book (not just VALIANT) as the benchmark - thats a 10 - and grade according to that.
Make sure to mention what you like'd about the book, what you didn't, what you wish they would have done, your favourite panels, lines of dialogue, little bits of trivia etc.

I wonder if there was a special purpose to Atman that would have shown in the rest of the Valiant universe. In this story I find him confusing and unnecessary. Not to mention that there are already too many new aliens showing up almost every issue.
I'd say a decent story could have been made without Atman, but with him it's another decline in quality.

When I first picked this issue up years ago I remember thinking how remarkably similar the villain on the cover resembled Doomsday. I wonder if they did this as some sort of homage to Dan since he hadn't been gone from writing Solar very long at this point?
This was actually not too bad of a read, and I especially liked the ending where he came back for the dog. I thought that was a nice touch.
