i personally paid $20 for my set of unity tpbs, but in a way it doesnt absolutley take me by suprise that it is going for $50. Maybe there will be a trend where "some" valiant tpb's will increase in value. I realize that you could put together a full set of the unity issues for less than that but some people like tpbs better. The paper quality is actually better in the actual issues, and for some awful reason they reprinted the Rai companion in the back of vol.4, but Unity is really where Valiant peaked as far as quality goes, and when the valiant collecting craze hits the mainstream, the modern collector that focuses his collection on tpbs might just find these more desirable than the actual issues, and the value will increase.

tons
There was a guy who posted on the board before it crashed about having a substantial part of the run for these Unity Saga sets. I don't want to exaggerate the number he owned but I'm thinking it was in the thousands.
It was substantial enough for me to ignore the Saga's permanently since he only paid pennies on the dollar. Gives me a bitter taste to pay 20 bucks for something that's stockpiled in someones storage at $.25 each.
Any of you remember who posted that thread?

I dont remember who that was but I think he had 750 copies each of saga 3 and 4 and got them for .25 cents each. But this has been mentioned a few times since and he never turns up. Did we ever get a pic of his haul? Im starting to wonder if it was true.soundoftheuniverse wrote:There was a guy who posted on the board before it crashed about having a substantial part of the run for these Unity Saga sets. I think it was alot of smoke. I offered him $10.00 for just one copy of #3 many times and he never replied.dino wrote:I dont remember who that was but I think he had 750 copies each of saga 3 and 4 and got them for .25 cents each.
