WTB: TMNT 1 or Albedo 2. Got em?
Anyone have a TMNT 1st print for sale in the VF range?
I figured I'd also take a stab and ask if anyone has an Albedo 2 (1st Usagi Yojimbo) in CGC 9.0-9.4. I'll pay absolute top dollar for this one. Hmm, well an 8.5 is probably the best I can do for a while!
Thanks!

Well, TMNT #1 has been on the 'bay quite a bit these last few months.....I think an 8.0 sold for $700 or so?
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD luck on Albedo #2.
Last CGC I saw was a 9.2 and it sold for $1700.
Prices like that = frustrated collectors tired of spending years and years looking.
Hell, I'm looking for #0-1!

The last Albedo 2 in 9.2 sold for $700 in a private sale. 9.6 sold for $2200.ZephyrWasHOT!! wrote:Well, TMNT #1 has been on the 'bay quite a bit these last few months.....I think an 8.0 sold for $700 or so?

There aren't a lot of copies (black cover, slightly thin paper stock, 2,000 printed) and there are, surprisingly or not, a lot of collectors/fans of Usagi.

I doubt that. I think I'm the only person at my LCS, or in my area for that matter, who buys Usagi every month. Not sure why. It's a great book.
Well, in comparison to many other indy comics there are a lot of fans. Off the top of my head I can think of 15 or so people that want Albedo 2 as their primary grail...400yrs wrote:psiknight wrote:

I'll get one eventually, as my 80's collection nears completion, but I'm certainly not rabid about it. Patience always pays off.psiknight wrote:Well, in comparison to many other indy comics there are a lot of fans. As for these private sales....those don't really "count", because they are unverifiable, unless you're one of the parties, or you witnessed the actual transactions.
We've all been down that road before.
I was a part of the transaction. In fact, I was "out-offered" by $25 and the guy just took it without asking me for a counter-offer. It's what I get for trying to get a deal.ZephyrWasHOT!! wrote:psiknight wrote:Well, in comparison to many other indy comics there are a lot of fans.
