Mile High Prices
Wow...anyone notice the skyrocketing prices at MHC lately? I bought 10 NM copies of Magnus #3 for $1.60 three months ago..now they're around $12 with discount! Yikes!

Re: Mile High Prices
Same here. I think I ordered @20 Magnus #3 when they were less than 2.00 each.ZephyrWasHOT!! wrote:Wow...anyone notice the skyrocketing prices at MHC lately? I bought 10 NM copies of Magnus #3 for $1.60 three months ago..now they're around $12 with discount! Yikes!
It seems like they just raise the prices in order to put them on sale.

Mile High Prices... hence the joke, "MILE HIGH" prices.
From what I can tell, Mile High uses a combination of their acquisition cost
and their "mark-up" formula.
Obviously, they found a nice supply of Magnus books recently,
at a great price... and they passed those prices on to those of you
who picked up the books for $3 and under.
Evidently, there wasn't a similar source for their replacement books,
so even Mile High seems to be having some difficulty securing the books
in quantity... at a low price.
That doesn't mean they won't... but it looks like they haven't yet!

Yes, from what I know and have heard, Chuck prices things according to (A) how much he has, and (B) what it will cost to replace.
If he only has ONE copy of, say, Bloodshot #0 Gold...it's gonna be $50. If he has dozens...it'll be $5.
Oh, that reminds me...about 2 or 3 years ago, Chuck was running ads in the latest Marvels offering 'key silvers' at just CRAZY prices....like a Daredevil #1 in Good for $700....and some they'd marked sold.
You sometimes gotta laugh, but ya know...sometime in the future, DD #1 probably WILL be a $700 book in Good...
Just not NOW.
Regardless of what the guide or market says.
