Re-Reading: X-O Manowar #25
I thought we could do a book a day (that way people can read one every day or catch up on weekends), talk about it on its own, in the context of whats next, in regards to what expectations it creates and vote on how good it is. I don't have to be the one that posts everyday. If I miss a day or if someone wants to take over please do
For voting think of your single favourite comic book (not just VALIANT) as the benchmark - thats a 10 - and grade according to that.
Make sure to mention what you like'd about the book, what you didn't, what you wish they would have done, your favourite panels, lines of dialogue, little bits of trivia etc.

Both the art and story is extra well worked through here. Especially in the Armorines insert. Some of the color work is great and Aric stepping out of the fire is a classic.
This kind of story can never be really realistic, but I enjoy seing how a group of US soldiers working coordinated can beat the mightiest weapon on earth. Combat skills do outrank barbarian warrior methods.
All and all a good issue.

A decent balance of action and characterization. A decent fight with good art. Taken as what it is, there's nothing really wrong with it. A fun read. An 8.
Though I gotta agree with Shooter: Armorines is a dumb name. No one in real life would go around saying a name like "Armorines" (atleast not without embarrasment).
