Re-Reading: Solar #47
I thought we could do a book a day (that way people can read one every day or catch up on weekends), talk about it on its own, in the context of whats next, in regards to what expectations it creates and vote on how good it is. I don't have to be the one that posts everyday. If I miss a day or if someone wants to take over please do
For voting think of your single favourite comic book (not just VALIANT) as the benchmark - thats a 10 - and grade according to that.
Make sure to mention what you like'd about the book, what you didn't, what you wish they would have done, your favourite panels, lines of dialogue, little bits of trivia etc.

There are still some fragments of hope that there will be an intelligent conclusion to this. The story here is just going through the motions.

Same major complaints and minor compliments as last issue.
The art seems to be getting more rushed and less good as the story goes on (it's really below Jurgen's normal standards in the last two parts). There's actually a panel of Urban Commando pointing that has his hand reversed! Why do we bring these hot artists on these books only to see them put out substandard work?
And Sin Buster (another really dumb name)...dear God is this man dumb and annoying. I think we've found someone with a lower IQ than Destroyer
. His cliched traveling partners aren't much better. I'm sure easily excitable people would call Sin Buster an anti-Christian stereotype. Actually, I would consider every character in this plotline an anti-human sterotype
.
A 6.
