If the figure was coming from an ex employee he/she would probably be delighted to get rid of it for $50 or so, but taking into consideration that there are collectors out there willing to pay $700-1000 makes a fair price difficult.
Well...I found one, but it ain't cheap folks. I confirmed there were only two actually made & both were the chrome version. One went to the Acclaim offices & one stayed at Skybolt. The one I found is currently priced at $8,000! He advised me he's had offers at $4,000 previously that he's turned down. I thought it was gonna be up there if I found one, but never that far up there... ~Erskine

I'm not a rich man but damn.....thats crazy!
maybe I could trade my goat in-action figure for it

thanks sonicdan
BTW, Thanks for posting this thread. It made me think about the topic again. I've always concentrated my efforts at finding one in the past towards ex Acclaim employees. This time I concentrated on the Skybolt end of things. For those that don't know:
Lightning Comics & Skybolt Toys were pretty much the same company. Bothers Steve & Joe Zyskowski owned them. Steve ran Skybolt & Joe ran Lightning. I looked for them & found almost nothing on Steve, but found this on Joe:

Joe went from making comics & action figures to selling real estate & making plaster casts of pregnant womens' stomachs in Vegas. It's a crazy world... ~Erskine

Joe got back to me again. He doesn't have any info to go along with the figure; no memos from Acclaim, no blueprints, no packaging (or even designs for packaging), but he is willing to print off a certified COA from the makers of Skybolt Toyz...

He sent me 10 pics which I in turn forwarded to Greg. ~Erskine
