I know Better Than Ezra has the art for the Armorines one... He has not been posting much of late due to a very busy life so I will throw that one out there for him. :thumb:

Mine found a place in the man-cave

Post by comxfan »

After much protesting by my wife that my standee needed to go in the comic room, it has now stood proudly out in the open in my man-cave for a year now!
Guess that means it time to dig out some of my movie standees now and start sliding them in one at a time......... :D

Hey guys- any idea of how many of each standee were made?

A local distributor gave me the Armorines one (can you beleive he was going to THROW it away????)

Actually, I have to give credit to my wife, as she was the one who was curious of the production run..... :)

Hey Dan, what is that neon sign behind the standee? All you can see is "Ni."

Is that some kind of Ninjak sign? :D

Careful with that ... you might want to watch Steve Martin in The Lonely Guy first.

You and comxfan have some great stuff on display. I wish I could expand my cave through more of the house.

Sadly, I have neither. Wouldn't mind having them, but no room either.

My only full-size standee is from the Hulk movie which I keep stored because it's too friggin' big for my mancave.

Cool sidenote: my wife snagged a prototype of the Hulk standee for me when she worked in Hershey's sales department (they did marketing for the movie). After the sales department was finished with their evaluations, approvals etc., she simply asked for it from one of the sales managers before they threw it out. It's about 1/3 the size of the actual standee - and yes, it is proudly on display.

Btw, comxfan, that's a sweet setup you have there. :thumb:

the trash is where mine was headed...i begged for weeks for it.

the armorines standee i happened to find on ebay for around $20 a couple of years ago.

they're out there...just don't turn up often.

as an aside...any estimates on what they might be worth?
