Just started re-reading PLASM...

Comic universes no longer active, Bravura, Continuity, CrossGen, Future, Malibu, Ultraverse... and others that are 'no longer with us' today (or only recently brought back).

wow this is really an amazing series. David Lapham put so much work into the design of the world, and so much of it was never utilized. The card binder is really cool all put together, but in retrospect I don't think it was a good idea.

It's really great to see Lapham come into his own during the coarse of this series. Witherby really inks him well in the early issues too, much better than Dixon and Mayo destroying his Harbinger work. I wonder if Lapham would ever want to go back to Plasm and try it again, since it really was his baby.

I really liked Plasm too. The artwork and coloring were fantastic, I pre-ordered my #0 binder and was lucky enough to get mine without paying 75 bucks like some people were doing back then.

You could never tell who the artist was when Dixon or Mayo did the inks.

Plasm def. had the greatest coloring of its time. Everything just seemed to pop out and scream for attention.

Plasm was an incredible series :thumb:

Lapham might be willing to do a Plasm story but so many things would have to happen to make that a reality. It's buried at the bottom of a company's library of characters right now who seems to have no interest in the concept at the moment other than using it to bolster the number of properties they own. Maybe if Shooter tried to get it back, him and Lapham could do a Plasm series but I doubt they're be enough money in it for either of them.

Yeah it's long shot but Lapham's been branching out into a lot of different projects recently. The one I'm most excited about is the sci-fi series he's going to self publish through El Capitan. I loved his DD vs. Punisher, haven't got all the Detective issues he did yet. That would be a dream come true to see Shooter and Lapham collaborate on a new comic.
