Would you actually pay more for a preview book than an actual comic book appearance ? Now, historically preview books 'in general' command more in price but I would say for the fact that they are preview books and not 'first appearances'.

So you wind up with the first printed appearance and the first newsstand appearance. The former was given away (like MPFW was intended) and the latter sold (like MC #1 actually was).
How's that for going a long way to say nothing?
