I can see why the used the cover they did, though...single file as on the alt cover, many heros could fight their way out of that. But on the actual cover, he's fighting a wall of them and he's on his way over the edge.
Here's a quick link to the final, even though most of us have it memorized...

The clicks don't work...
You'll want to cut and paste the addresses into your browser.
(Or type them in by hand if your cutter-and-paster isn't working.)

It's inked right over the pencils. I offered to buy just the pencils but Bob insisted on finishing the piece. I'm very glad he did.Very nice. Is it inked over the pencils, or were they copied first and the copy inked over?
I'm more concerned with what FG is holding onto and if he's going to stick it into B4.It beautiful! Although, is it just me or does k-1 look likes he's about to squat and get a few things down on paper.. if you know what I mean
I completly agree. For me Nichols' Magnus is the way I see magnus in my head. But Bob's Magnus in this piece is incredible. The fact that it was fully drawn in his unfinished version was why I asked to buy it.Nice! It's even better than Nichols'!
I love that its signed Bob Layton '91/04!!! Unfortunatly I didn't get Bob to sign it to me!!! I didn't even think too....Artwork that was 13 years to complete! It is great!
Did Bob sign it to you?---Steve G
I still love the original Magnus #2 cover and they were so right to pick the other, more visual angle. I wonder what this would look like coloured. Anyone have any ideas on who would be a good person to get in touch with to colour a copy?

Of course I would die if she would do it but I figure I've troubled her enough with the Magnus VVSS thing and more importantly she's moved on from colouring to become such a talented illustrator that I wouldnt want to insult her by asking.....though she would kick major *SQUEE* doing itgreg wrote:JayJay, of course!dino wrote:Anyone have any ideas on who would be a good person to get in touch with to colour a copy?
