I used to have 45 Unity Platinums.

(bottom row of books are 4-5 to a bag)
I've since sold down to about 10-12.

Indeed. I would bet we have the market cornered in Magnus #0, #12, Harbinger #1, #0 pink and Unity redcjv wrote:It would be interesting to add up what everyone has, to see what percentage of the print run we (the board as a whole) have of any given issues (the highest total number, the highest percentage of print run, etc)

I asked Greg about doing this a year or two ago. IIRC he thought the %s would be largely insignificant. I agree with that thought for most books but for a handful I'll bet the board can account for a few %. Maybe as much as 5% for a couple of books. For most of the books you would have to carry one or two decimals for the boards quantity to register. Of course, for the board to look better, you would want to always use the low end of the estimated print runcjv wrote:It would be interesting to add up what everyone has, to see what percentage of the print run we (the board as a whole) have of any given issues (the highest total number, the highest percentage of print run, etc)

I know I've recused a handful of books and haven't reported them to Greg or anyone else on these boards. Those numbers are at a best a "guestimate".

If I remember right the numbers are pulled for the inventories automatically.
Is that right Greg?

It's hard to believe our combined collections put such a small dent in the total number of such low print run books as Harbinger 0. 3,000 to 3,500 issues no longer sounds like such a small number...x-omatic wrote: Here is what the inventories have for pre-Unity.

there are still many people that frequent the boards that
don't have their inventories done of course...but i woulda thought we had many more.
when i first saw that section of the site, i thought that it was specifically for issues pulled from the 1/4 bins.
i'm still hoping to get my inventory done one of these days.! can't get it to work!

Photo of the Valiants
Here's a photo of some of the Valiants left in my collection as of early 2004.

I still have quite a bit, and will be offering some off on the Buy/Sell board and eBay in the coming months.... stay tuned!

there are also probably people that have not updated their inventory and they have sold many of the items. I know the Black Diamond collection comes to mind. I would think that several of those issues might be getting counted twice in the list. Dont know though....It would be cool if greg would redo to inventory will new inventories from everyone...I dont know how he would do that though. Surely you should not punish someone if they had not sent in an update in a few months. I dont know. I really like the inventory thing since it makes collecting comics competitive, but I dont like that it is seeming very out of date in some areas...Of course I dont have any idea how you would fix it...dino wrote:I havnt updated my inventory in ages. I have twice as many harby pinks now than i used too. Plenty of people dont have thier collections listed for instance a certain aug002 who has somewhere in the region of 50 harbinger pinks...
