Hey guys...

I'm sure most of you check all the categories on this messageboard,
but in case you're missing them... Bob Layton has been unpacking
a lot of Valiant items and offering them for bids on this board.

Check for his posts (Bob Layton is listed as "Author" of the post)
or any "Bob Layton" topics in the Buy / Sell / Trade section.

I thought I’d drop all of you a post to let you know that I’m currently recovering from bone surgery and I’m going to be totally immobile for the next few weeks. I'd like to apologize for not answering everyones' e-mails swiftly. It's a little uncomfortable to sit at the computer.

After I recover, I’ll get back to sorting out and auctioning the Valiant goodies.

My surgery went well and I’m expected to make a full recovery. It's something I've been putting off for a long time (insert *SQUEE* joke here). About 20 years ago, I broke my left foot while playing frizbee. The bone never set correctly and it created a spur large enough for Tiger Woods to tee off from, leaving me the choice of surgery or going barefoot for the rest of my existance.

Currently, I’m unable to walk without crutches and I’m in a lot of pain, but I should recover full ability after it heals. The doc says it’ll be about four weeks before I’m ready to kick someone in the *SQUEE* with it. :)

Good health to all of my Valiant friends,

Bob

Hi Bob-
Glad to hear your surgery went well. Hope you have a fast & complete recovery! Thanks again for giving us Valiant fans the opportunity to own your fantastic assortment of great items!

On a side note, I've read the issues of Future comics you sent me, & I HIGHLY recommend them all!!

Best regards---Steve G

I was a sucker for X-Force also, 5 copies of each 5 different bagged carded book. Damn was I a fool or what. I also bought 5 copies of each issue after that until about issue 23 or so. Yeah, marvel stole from me in the early 90's but I invested in VALIANT for life!

Hah hah...

Yeah. I was rockin' 13 copies of X-force 1 back in the day. 1 set of 5 plus 8 additional Cable cards (4 normal, 4 B+W reversed) picked up piecemeal at newstands and gas stations throughout the southwest. Good times.

Good luck with the convalescence, Bob!
