DL'd the complete Preacher torrent off of Z-Cult. Pretty good read. Very off- the-wall original stuff. Violent too.

Gotta love you some Preacher! :thumb:

"Well if it ain't country-joe mutha *SQUEE* and his dickcheese posse."

"You look like the kinda guy who'd crawl through a perfectly good w(horehouse to get to a fat boy's a$$."

"Came the day T.C. *SKREEE-d* the chicken . . ."

Gotta admit this one had me rolling.

Then there was the part where Preacher used 'the word' on the sheriff - telling him to go F himself - seemed both macabre & amusing at the same time. Great reading, but it seemed to peter out in the end......

That was quite a feat - pulling off that double-entendre!

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

I disagree... the end of the series brought one of the most chilling lines:

"And that is how they killed him; covered in the ashes of his best friend."

I wonder if Ennis got any money for that download......?

Or Dillon, for that matter.....

I bought the whole run off ebay a couple years ago and hadnt read any of them. I planned on reading #1-4 but just couldnt stop. I read the entire 60 issue run and all the one shots over a two day streach.

Holy crap, that's a feat! They're good comics, but that's a stout stack to go through.

That's quite a feat - one that takes determination!

On one hand, I agree with your sentiment - but on the other, I don't.

Instead of derailing this topic, though, I'll ask that we take a chance in the near future to debate this in another topic. :)
