Any interest in a Jim Shooter radio interview?
Hello everyone,
I have been trying to talk Vincent Zurzolo of Metropolis Collectables into getting Jim Shooter on his weekly radio show, the Comic Zone.
http://www.metropoliscomics.com/comicShow.html
The show airs live on Mondays at noon Pacific time.
One of the main factors that determines who Vincent chooses to put on the show is how much interest there would be for a particular guest. Since Jim Shooter has been out of the comics industry for a while, I suppose one could question whether there is still enough interest for people to listen to a show with Jim being interviewed, and for there to be enough people to call in with live questions that Vincent won't be sitting there with Jim listening to crickets chirping and thinking "Man, I could'a had Michael Turner on here this week instead!"
So can we have a quick show of hands of people who would be interested in a Jim Shooter radio show, and more importantly, people who would actually TUNE IN while the show was going on live, and CALL IN WITH QUESTIONS?
Thanks everyone,
FFBB

You should check out some of the archives on the link I gave in the initial post in the thread. The radio interviews are streaming audio and I think that even a good dial up connection would allow you to listen to it. I'm not sure about that, but I suspect it would work. Let me know if you try it.
As for those others who have responded, please feel free to post your thoughts and also indicate any questions you'd want to have asked (even if you don't want to ask them). I'm going to point Vincent Z. to this thread after we've had a sufficient number of responses so that he can see how much demand is out there and how many people would listen live and call in. I'd love to have this interview take place.

I spoke to Vincent Z. about the interview, showed him this thread, and he asked for Jim's contact information. Does anyone know whether the Phobosweb email and contact information is still current for Jim Shooter? It looks like his title changed from Vice President to "Creative Consultant," which sounds like a job that doesn't require him to be in the office every day. Does anyone know how to get ahold of him?
Vincent also asked if there are other Valiant creators you'd like to see on the show. Are there? If so, post here and let me know and I'll pass them along. If you also happen to have contact information for them (or if someone else posts "Barry Windsor Smith" but you happen to know his email address), feel free to email it to me at fantasyfootballbono@yahoo.com
Thanks!

P.S. I'm a big fan of yours.Maybe we could get YOU on the same show as JS and BWS if they both agree to be interviewed on the same show?

They are phone interviews, so no one would be anywhere at the same time. The interviewees wouldn't even interact unless they wanted to.
andrew wrote:Just going by hearsay and interviews, so I'm not sure how accurate they may be, but I doubt Jim would do an interview with Barry and Bob there. Jim and Janet might be a neat interiview, though.
