Hey everyone I just found this site the other day and its great to see that there are plenty of Valiant fans out there and many more who haven't found this site yet.

I just bought Magnus #2-8 w/ coupon in NM for $1.00 a piece and I'm going to pick up Solar 1,2,4,5,6,7,8,9,11 for the same on Saturday. Very good deals and pretty much will finish my collection of all Pre-Unity Valiants. I still need Harbinger #0,1,6 X-O Manowar #3,6 and Magnus #0.

Grabbed an X-O #68 for $1 at an LCS the other day. I've pretty much exhausted all my LCS bargain bins now. There are still quite a few Magnus #57 errors available for .50, but I don't know if I want to overdo that one. Considering the print run and availability, I still don't understand what makes that issue valuable.

Today, I got my most valuable comic. I went to a comic store and was looking for Warriors o' Plasm. I was going through them, searching for number one, and I found it...signed by The Shooter himself! The price was $50.00, but I got it for a buck! I love it!

I FINALLY nabbed my first real Valiant finds today, and boy am I happy to join the club. One of my LCSes has a few collectible Valiant issues, all with price tags that haven't been changed since 1992. Apparently, they just recently threw a bunch of the less valuable issues into a bargain bin for $1 a piece. I got myself Shadowman 2 and 3. After that find, I decided I was tired of looking at their Unity Platinum #1 and not owning it, so I asked if the $20 price was negotiable. I was going to suggest $10 instead. I was even prepared to show her the vc.com pricelist (they have internet there), when she said "well this price hasn't been checked since 1994. Let's see what Overstreet says...".

She charged me $3.

I stopped her right there, as she was ringing up my total, and said "Let me look at some of the others then." I wasn't able to find much else, but I did score a Solar #10 (1st print) for $4. I'll need to go back there and tear the place apart looking for more Valiant deals, but for today, I walked away with:

Shadowman #2 ($1)
Shadowman #3 ($1)
Solar #10 ($4)
Unity #1 Platinum ($3)

All of these were NM

I also won this, but we'll wait to see how the conditions are. I e-mailed the seller to ask if he'll do Media Mail, but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. It's not any of you. Is it?
