Tell me more about that. Where did they pop up? What were the stories like? Did they use the original characters? I didn't like Impact much.Zero wrote:Archie published The Comet under the Mighty Comics imprint by the way, which is now owned by DC.
Not to quibble, but DC licensed them for their !mpact line. Archie still owns the rights and the Mighty characters have popped up a few times since the !mpact experiment folded.

Yes, I would to see that too. There is one big problem. Although the Metal Men have robot bodies, they have human brains stored in Dr Will Magnus' base.ManofTheAtom wrote:Magnus vs the Metal Men would be awesome!
So, if the Metal Men travelled to 4000AD their brains would not communicate with their bodies.
Please lets not have another tiresome 'Magnus in the 20th (or 21st) Century' story again. We would need a tachyon transponder. Bring in Timewalker perhaps, or Rip Hunter?

Check out this image from an unpublished Comet story. He's GOTTA be in the story, no?

Well, actually, the Metal Men's brain patters live within the Responsometers which are stored within their robotic bodies.Zero wrote:Yes, I would to see that too. There is one big problem. Although the Metal Men have robot bodies, they have human brains stored in Dr Will Magnus' base.
They could essentially live forever.

sorry, couldn't resist!

Wow, someone actually remembers what I've written before. I'm honored. Do you have any theory to offer how I would win the fight? I feel I would be at a slight disadvantage...

Yes, you are right. I misremembered the way that #1 of the Jurgens 4 part mini-series ended. I just re-read it. What a cover, by the way. I must get the other three.ManofTheAtom wrote:Well, actually, the Metal Men's brain patters live within the Responsometers which are stored within their robotic bodies.Zero wrote:Yes, I would to see that too. It was also obvious that Doc Magnus on the cover is meant to look like an older version of MRF.
Here's a new story element for us. They are the same man!
