question about the valiant universe
I never really got into the valiant universe when i really got into comics and I'm a refugee from the crossgen universe I was wondering were the gold key issues of turok and solar ect considered part of valiant continuity?

In the first few issues of Valiant's Solar title (Solar, Man of the Atom),
we learn that the nuclear accident that affects Dr. Phil Seleski
causes him to remember the Gold Key Dr. Solar comic books
he read when he was a kid.
So, in the Valiant universe, the Gold Key Dr. Solar comics... are comics.
However, the Gold Key Magnus Robot Fighter 4000AD storylines are canon.
(They are the same Magnus, in all books from 1963 Gold Key until 1996 Valiant.)
By the way, welcome to our little corner of the internet!

also, although it was never confirmed i believe the same can be said for turok's gold key issues as the magnus run.
the first time we see turok, he and andar call the dinosaurs "honkers" just like in the gold key books.
i don't remember them ever going into specifics about the events from the gold key turok run and to be honest there weren't any huge stories to be told. it was always "we have to find a way outta here...look out for that t-rex!!". but the biggest revelation was that turok and andar stumbled into the lost land and that's why it was so hard for them to get out.
anyone else have any info on turok?

Re: question about the valiant universe
As Greg said, Magnus Gold Key is part of Valiant continuity, Dr. Solar is not. I see no reason to exclude GK Turok either as it does not contradict Valiant at all. The Lost Land is called the Lost Valley, but maybe that is because Turok doesn't speak english well at that point?Briareos wrote:I never really got into the valiant universe when i really got into comics and I'm a refugee from the crossgen universe I was wondering were the gold key issues of turok and solar ect considered part of valiant continuity?
