Reading Time? I wish
The kids have one more week of school and then I get to spend my time moving into a new house -- so instead of sitting back and rereading Valiants and get to pack up my entire house and then unpack it.
I don't think I'm getting a summer this year.

You're not them, are you?

Pre unitys have never been in big supply in Australia as far as I can tell.
Most comic shops I have visited around Australia don't really have a big back issue stock. Are most people ok with shipping overseas as a rule if I was to put a want list post on the board?

As long as your willing to cover the shipping cost then I wouldn't care where you lived

One of the BEST things about the USPS (and there's not many!) is that you can ship 1-6 or so (more if you stuff it) comics in a Global Priority envelope for $9. That's it! And, it arrives within a week or so. The other side of the world for $9 is NOT BAD at ALL!Sting wrote:Unfortunatley notZephyrWasHOT!! wrote:You know...on the eBay board, years ago...98, 99...there was an Aussie couple, to whom I sent a Rai #3 as a b-day present, cause it just could not be found down under....Sting wrote:Were just coming into winter and it's getting damm cold here !

Funny because I just did that. A Canadian won an auction of mine, I wasn't sure of the postage but it was six books. I guessed and said $7. I remembered that the flat rate was cheaper, so I used Global Priority Flat rate. Cost? $7.00 right on the nose! The only problem was the Post Office lady scolded me for using tape to make sure the envelope didn't pop open or rip. They said if you have to use tape to keep it sealed, you're not supposed to use the flat rate. Luckily she forgave my transgression and gave me the lower rate anyway. It doesn't seem like that much effort to ship to Canada (not sure about the rest of the world yet) so I might start to open all my auctions up to international bids. One of the BEST things about the USPS (and there's not many!) is that you can ship 1-6 or so (more if you stuff it) comics in a Global Priority envelope for $9. Yeah, I've shipped internationally for all the years I've been on ebay, and have NEVER had a problem! I think I'm just lucky (which means I can have a refund if my Chris shipments are damaged, natch) and it's REALLY easy to use the Flat Rate envelopes...$7 to Canada and Mexico, and $9 to the rest of the world.Brother J wrote: Funny because I just did that. The only thing with international is....wait until the money is in YOUR hand, in YOUR bank account, cause it's REALLY easy to commit fraud outside the US.
Sorry to be off topic, but heck, that's the canoodly nature (smirk) of discussion.
