I have been watching this for the duration of the auction debating whether or not to bid, happy it went to a board member!

Very nice Greg. I would have bid if I had read the description more carefully. "complete with all the inside pages and cover"

Since the seller mentioned working for Dark Horse for 9 years,
I asked about the print run on Predator vs. Magnus Trade Paperback.
He said that he didn't know, but that he would check with some of his
friends who would probably have that type of information.

His preliminary research is telling him 2,500 copies...
but he hasn't concluded that the number is correct.
I'm hoping to hear from him again.

I BIN'd some decent deals on Valiants off eBay recently:

Magnus #0 (no card) $7.99 ($2.99+ $5.00 shipping)

Turok #47, Bloodshot #51, and X-O #68 all in sweet NM condition, 99 cents each plus $3.50 shipping.

eBay store items, sometimes you can find some steals in there along with all the overpriced dreck. It's not really a secret, but I just think a lot of folks forget to check there when they are looking for the newest listed items. That's my tip for the day!

That sound more realistic than the 10,000 figure, given its relative scarcity.

Found Dark Passages 2-4 (two 4s) and Solar 2 and 3 in a quarter bin box in a shop in Ohio (Boardman). Pre-Unity in a quarter bin, still bagged and boarded with $7 price tags on them! Operation Rescue strikes again!

I also got several issues of Legend of Zelda Vol1 #1, Super Mario Bros Vol1 1 and Nintendo Comic System 1 for free from a guy who had the big idea of hoarding comics in the 1990's. Not the 80's or the 00's, just during the 1990's. It wasn't a pretty mass of books that's for sure...

good luck!! :thumb:
Got 'em, well-packed, and great looking copies - except the Harbinger #1. It has an indentation on the cover, SIMILAR to (but I don't think that's what it is) someone using the comic for backing while writing on a piece of paper resting on the comic. It's a very straight line, but that's what the flaw reminds me of. This issue is still very nice even with that particular "flaw."

Still, overall a great deal!!! :thumb:

Some people spend their whole lives believing in fairy tales, usually because they don't want to give up the fabulous prizes.

hit a couple of CS in the fox valley labor day weekend...first time I'd been in a CS in 6 months or more...found the following for 33 cents each...no shipping :D ...you do the math:

VH-2:

Ninjak 1 through 9 (variant and regular #1)
X-O manowar 1 through 9 (variant and regular #1)
Magnus 1 trough 5 (variant and regular #1)
Bloodshot 1 and 5
Shadowman 2
Eternal Warriors Time and Treachery (regular and Variant)
Eternal Warriors Digital Alchemy

VH-1
Bloodshot 4, 5 and 6

First Comics
Zero Tolerance 1 through 4
Nexus 1-8

Now here is a question for you VH-2 fans...should the variant cover of Time and Treachery be signed...I have a signed one, but the one I picked up Saturday doesn't have any sig anywhere on it...

I'm not really a VH-2 collectore but I couldn't pass these up
Why waste time learning, when ignorance is instantaneous?

I think they signed several copies as a 'thank you' to retailers.

I have two copies and neither of them has a signature. I don't think it makes much difference really, but it's cool that you have both.

Don't draw attention to yourself.
Just dig through the back issues, find Unity 0 Red...
point out the $5 Overstreet price... pay it, and leave.
