valiant vision glasses

Post by tanord »

I recently have 3D glasses that was included in a different comic and was wondering if those have the same effect as the valiant vision glasses. Is there any difference in using non-valiant vision 3D glasses and valiant vision glasses on the valiant vision comics?

technically, valiant vision isn't 3-d...not in the traditional sense anyway.
valiant vision books can be read without glasses at all while "3-d" books can't. i don't quite understand how it works but here's how it breaks down.

when wearing the valiant vision glasses, red comes toward you and blue goes away from you, which really gives a nice 3-d type effect.
i mean the red will look like it's about an inch off the page.

the cool thing about valiant vision is that it works on everything...that was the first thing we did at my store when they came in...we had a ball.
if anyone has amazing spiderman #50 with the first kingpin appearance...try the cover of that one...lol

of course only valiant books were specifically colored for the process to really work but it still looks kick *SQUEE* on just about anything. you can also get a valiant vision starter kit on the cheap.

at my LCS, you can get the Valiant Vision starter kit for $1. the good thing about them is that it's got clear lenses, so you don't look like an *SQUEE* with the one red and one blue eye piece.

I remember a statement by Kevin VanHook to the extent that his wife Carol had severe eyestrain following wearing the glasses for a prolonged period of time, necessary to properly paint the pages which featured that technology.

Oh yeah because with the red and blue lense it would be totally dorky, but these have the ultra-cool clear lense...deck...

Does anyone else have the "prototype" version of the glasses? I believe I got these with the retailer stuff I used to get when I was ordering from Diamond. They say "prototype" right on them, I think.

I got my starter kit for .25 cents. The effect was very cool at first, but quickly hurt my head. I also found that the stories were easier to follow without the glasses. That Valiant Vision Solar poster is quite fun to look at though.
