Re: (Re-)Reading Acclaim
That is a great catch. Wonder if they had info from Post Unity 2000. Looks like they were already trying to merge the universes.
On a different note, can anyone tell me the contents of the Acclaim Preview Promo and Acclaim Reader? Curious if I should be picking them up for my binds or if it is repeated content.

They had their plans for Post-Unity 2000, but none came to bare.1st Among Equals wrote: Fri Jul 11, 2025 8:45 pm That is a great catch. Wonder if they had info from Post Unity 2000. Looks like they were already trying to merge the universes.

I think the Acclaim Reader might be a reprint of the recap pages that appeared in the 12th issues of the VH-2 series, but I don't recall.
The Preview Promo that came with Previews had art and notes about the then-upcoming relaunch.

Re: (Re-)Reading Acclaim
In VH2 XO #6 it mentions Magnus secretly watched X-O in the Acclaim Preview. Wish there was a copy to print include in the bind since it is a $200+ book alone. Is it a regular sized issues or mini comic?

Re: (Re-)Reading Acclaim
Oh, ok. The Acclaim Preview was a comic printed in an issue of Previews, but there was also a serial called Same As It Never Was which showed Magnus watching all the other VH-2 heroes leading into the relaunch. That has never been reprinted. You'd need to find the issues of Previews that have it or ask if someone here has scanned them.1st Among Equals wrote: Fri Jul 11, 2025 10:08 pm In VH2 XO #6 it mentions Magnus secretly watched X-O in the Acclaim Preview. Re: (Re-)Reading Acclaim
That sounds more like what the XO book is referencing. If it was never printed was it a digital comic? I haven't seen anything about the "Same As It Never Was" story.

Not digital, it was published in the '90s in several issues of Previews, Diamond distributor's catalog.1st Among Equals wrote: Sat Jul 12, 2025 10:31 am That sounds more like what the XO book is referencing. I think this had the first chapter.

I took a look at the previews content that is included in the Quantum and Woody omnibus. It is pretty substantial story as a prelude to set up the universe. I am surprised it was never collected as a whole or in a trade/special issue all together

Also, just finding the Previews Magazines seems like a pain. Big price tags for 4-6 pages of content each1st Among Equals wrote: Wed Jul 16, 2025 10:34 am I took a look at the previews content that is included in the Quantum and Woody omnibus. That VEI reprinted them suggests that they may have the artwork for the whole thing. Maybe bring it up to Alien's attention to see if they might reprint the whole thing someday.

Two of the Armorines in the Fan issue appear later in monthly Turok #2.1st Among Equals wrote: Thu Jul 10, 2025 2:42 pm Okay fresh from a mail delivery, can confirm as mentioned that Armorines carries on the Jimmy Six storyline from Solar Hell on Earth. The Armorines however are not the same as those in the XO Fan issue. Only one of their names aligned being Nunez, the rest are all new. I guess you can assume maybe they are a different or later sqaud, but they reintroduce Donovan (XO) to them as if it is the first time.
Close. It started in the issue after that one.ManofTheAtom wrote: Sat Jul 12, 2025 5:26 pm Not digital, it was published in the '90s in several issues of Previews, Diamond distributor's catalog.

A hero! After visiting all of my LCSs this last weekend I was realizing this was going to be a big blocked of my binds, until now!operative lm wrote: Sat Jul 19, 2025 5:02 pmTwo of the Armorines in the Fan issue appear later in monthly Turok #2.1st Among Equals wrote: Thu Jul 10, 2025 2:42 pm Okay fresh from a mail delivery, can confirm as mentioned that Armorines carries on the Jimmy Six storyline from Solar Hell on Earth.
