Re: Valiant Action Figures Please!! :-)
It sucks that in 15+ years of all the investment that's been made into Valiant we've never gotten even a small toy line. It's the golden age of niche action figure toy lines!
A good quality, well thought out, and affordable toy line could really inspire a lot of casual fans to get into the comics. If there's actually good comics, of course.
Jada toys Street Fighter recent figures would be a good model. 6 inch, good detail, great articulation, great packaging and design. $25 price range.

Didn’t they have those Legoesque mini figures at one point? Am I imagining that?
I’m sad close to thirty years later I never bought that Goat inaction figure.

Even I have that one. The variant version, and it's not in its original packaging.RyanMcLelland wrote: Fri Apr 25, 2025 5:03 pm Didn’t they have those Legoesque mini figures at one point? Am I imagining that?

Surprisingly they are still available and pretty cheap at that. I may be picking one up soon for my work desk.ManofTheAtom wrote: Fri Apr 25, 2025 5:52 pmEven I have that one. You'd think with the owners of Valiant being Chinese (or people who do a lot of business in China) that they'd have easy access to some of the great toy and merchandise manufacturers there.

Yeah, but right now it's presently moot due to Drumpf's tariffs on China disrupting shipments, manufacture, resale, etc.Ryan wrote: Wed Apr 30, 2025 7:57 pm You'd think with the owners of Valiant being Chinese (or people who do a lot of business in China) that they'd have easy access to some of the great toy and merchandise manufacturers there.![]()
No point in making the toys if they can't sell them.
Today even he made remarks about how kids will now have to go with two toys instead of 30. That's the same as saying that stores will have to make due with selling 20 toys instead of 300. His decisions are affecting both consumers and retailers.

Lol, very true. I guess my comment is outdated now, but I'm still wondering why they couldn't have done something like this in all the years from 2018-2024 with all the access they had to Chinese manufacturing. Oh well, as you say it's moot now.ManofTheAtom wrote: Wed Apr 30, 2025 9:32 pm Yeah, but right now it's presently moot due to Drumpf's tariffs on China disrupting shipments, manufacture, resale, etc.

Acclaim was going to do toys for the '99 event? Dang that would've been cool to see.

Found it, guess I didn't read this entire thread.

1999 would've seen the return of the classic characters with a toy line as well. Jeff Gomez as EiC? Sound good.
