This is interesting. Valiant Comics brought to you by Alien Books in conjunction with IDW brings you…. Harbinger! But not like old Harbinger. Now there’s like anime covers and big monsters!!!
Good for IDW. Boo for the new Harbinger.

It's only 12 issues for now of each Beyond series, and they don't replace the existing VEI version Dinesh launched.RyanMcLelland wrote: Mon Mar 24, 2025 1:13 pm This is interesting. Neither point soothes my worry that these books are just going to be more of the same mediocrity.ManofTheAtom wrote: Mon Mar 24, 2025 1:19 pmIt's only 12 issues for now of each Beyond series, and they don't replace the existing VEI version Dinesh launched.RyanMcLelland wrote: Mon Mar 24, 2025 1:13 pm This is interesting. They do seem to be aimed at the demo that likes superheroes done in the style of DC and Marvel, but at least it's not a reboot.Chiclo wrote: Mon Mar 24, 2025 4:07 pmNeither point soothes my worry that these books are just going to be more of the same mediocrity.ManofTheAtom wrote: Mon Mar 24, 2025 1:19 pmIt's only 12 issues for now of each Beyond series, and they don't replace the existing VEI version Dinesh launched.RyanMcLelland wrote: Mon Mar 24, 2025 1:13 pm This is interesting. Honestly, I'm more surprised that IDW is still in business.

I'm good with IDW doing VALIANT via Alien. It could be good. IDW does make high quality comics, no? I mean in terms of production values and such.
And, who knows, maybe someone in Hollywood is looking and this could be a gateway to getting VALIANT into other media down the road.

My first thought seeing this. She's going to be doing the Vince McMahon revealed as the higher power clip...
and then finish off Valiant for good like the critics (myself among them) stated she would. Looks like it'll just be by technicality now

Depends on how you feel about Paramount/CBS/MTV/Nickelodeon/Viacom (or whatever you want to call them) they can make and release some damn good movies and shows but their marketing is mixed at best and downright awful at worst.ManofTheAtom wrote: Mon Mar 24, 2025 9:25 pmHeh.Cyberstrike wrote: Mon Mar 24, 2025 5:31 pm Honestly, I'm more surprised that IDW is still in business.![]()

It would be interesting if she got to do some crossovers between VALIANT and IDW's licensed comics, like Star Trek and the TMNT.

I like that studio. I am not understanding the above comments. Is IDW somehow associated with Paramount?ManofTheAtom wrote: Tue Mar 25, 2025 1:53 pmI like that studio. Far as I know, only in that IDW publishes some comics they license from them, such as Star Trek.Juki wrote: Tue Mar 25, 2025 2:02 pmI am not understanding the above comments. Has it been established that either Trek or the TMNT are fictional in the VEI Universe?Chiclo wrote: Tue Mar 25, 2025 7:04 pmMotA? Have you been hacked? Yes. When Pete and Kris meet Faith for the first time there are several references to Star Trek.ManofTheAtom wrote: Tue Mar 25, 2025 8:34 pm Has it been established that either Trek or the TMNT are fictional in the VEI Universe?

Yep. Absent any direct reference to the Turtles being fictional at VALIANT, nothing prevents a crossover between them and Ninjak.Ryan wrote: Tue Mar 25, 2025 10:32 pmManofTheAtom wrote: Tue Mar 25, 2025 8:34 pmHas it been established that either Trek or the TMNT are fictional in the VEI Universe?![]()

Lol, sure. Nothing prevents a crossover between X-O and Sonic the Hedgehog either, are you in favor of that?ManofTheAtom wrote: Wed Mar 26, 2025 8:54 am Yep. Absent any direct reference to the Turtles being fictional at VALIANT, nothing prevents a crossover between them and Ninjak.
Valiant used to be something unique, the integrity of the universe used to actually matter to the fans. If its just an 'anything goes' universe like Marvel and DC then why bother? Marvel and DC already have it covered. That's probably one of the reasons all the fans left. This doesn't help bring them back.
