The more you protest, the guiltier you sound.valiantdude wrote: Thu Feb 06, 2025 12:32 pm um... i think the point that was being made was.. there are actual scams on kickstarter.. everyone doubted the schism crew but isnt questioning that one, which is 100% a scam, they are saying its a scam..
a real kickstarter is what the schism kickstarter is.. thats the irony..

If he’s a bot, how can he have an iq? Aren’t bots just scripts that have a pretty limited range of responses? No capacity that would be described by iq.

Half way there. 30 days to go. This isn’t looking good to succeed.

Re: SCHISM from DEFIANT - Kickstarter ft. Jim Shooter, David Lapham
Hello!
Please stop with the negativity. Its hurting the project. Since you don't know this, Kickstarter makes you guess the amount of books you think you might print beforehand, basically people you think you can sell to, as far as individual units, and guess the shipping amount of all of those units, and include that in the grand total you are requesting. We had no clue how many people would be interested and what that would look like. Perhaps we should have chosen a way lower number based on the amount of books actually being printed. We geared for 1000 copies of each issues being printed, not 150. That would've significantly lowered the amount we asked for. We just didn't know how this very unique project was going to hit or not.
If this does not succeed we will do it again, now that we know exactly how many people are interested and how they are willing to help us.
Thanks,
Jake

Bold faced lie. Kickstarter has nothing to do with the amount of books you print. And your campaign is failing because you refuse to be honest about the rights. I've had some many conversations with hard core defiant readers that won't back because they don't want to support theft.midnightonearth wrote: Sat Feb 15, 2025 6:47 am Hello!

You're full of crap. You havent spoken to anyone. You say you've got David Laphams email, but refuse to pass it on. Stop making out like you're some all important, all knowing comic guru. How do you know with absolute certainity that this is a scam? Wheres your proof.syzhang28 wrote: Sat Feb 15, 2025 12:16 pmBold faced lie. No, nobody takes your word for it. You just dribble your obnoxious comments all over the place. When you get moron's like you just critcising aboslutely everything, it's going to scare people off. But, you're so well conected, thats how you know everything, even when you've been found out, again and again and again. Instead of helping fellow fans, you like to pretend you somehow know someone or something to validate yourself.syzhang28 wrote: Sun Feb 16, 2025 5:25 pmAnd you don't have to take my word for it. You want fans to come here. You don't want them to be scared away. You don't realize that first you have to pull up the roots, expose the rot to sun before you can hope to build a meaningful community. I will continue to call out those that lie. The OP has not been honest.

One of us has narcissistic tendencies, and the other one is me. Not being able to see how rude you really are with just about every comment you post shows how detached you are from reality. Just the fact you accuse me with such certainity of being closed minded shows you are clueless.syzhang28 wrote: Sun Feb 16, 2025 6:41 pmOne of us is being rude. The other has an opinion. You call out people that don't align with your on personal beliefs. That's closed minded. Open minded would be to look into a bit further, giving the OP the ability to show that they genuine in their kickstarter, and you providing information on David Laphams contact details. Not just instantly crapping on the idea because you don't have the intelligence to accept that someone else out there has a good idea. Eveytime you come in here and comment with absolute certainty, just shows you aren't really worth listening to.
This community has been going for over 30 years now, and this forum for over 20 years. Thank goodness Greg has you to tell him how to build a meaningful community.

Well said, Chosen1.The Chosen 1 wrote: Sun Feb 16, 2025 8:07 pm One of us has narcissistic tendencies, and the other one is me. Not being able to see how rude you really are with just about every comment you post shows how detached you are from reality. Just the fact you accuse me with such certainity of being closed minded shows you are clueless.
I'd say showing $30,000 worth of interest so far is a really good sign of interest for something like this that is a very niche project within a niche market like 90's comics.
In kickstarters there is usually a surge of funding at the end so there is still a chance, but if not that's awesome that they're planning to adjust their print run estimates and try again with a smaller goal number.
The two people who are claiming its a 'scam' with no evidence are obviously just disgruntled VEI fans who seem bitter because the old school fans still like Shooter, its so stupid. Go start a thread talking about how great the Pizza Detective is or whatever and leave this thread to the people who want to support it

There is a Transformers joke here I just don't feel like making it.Chiclo wrote: Thu Feb 06, 2025 10:19 pm If he’s a bot, how can he have an iq? Aren’t bots just scripts that have a pretty limited range of responses? No capacity that would be described by iq.
Your inconsistency distracts from your otherwise rambling and unfocused ad hominem attacks, dude.

Why waste time learning, when ignorance is instantaneous?
