Maybe someday we'll see the untold story of how VH 1, VH 2, and VEI are tied together.
On another note, does anyone have scans or summaries of the short stories that were in Harbinger The Beginning, X-O Birth, and Archer & Armstrong First Impressions? I don't have the books anymore, and they don't seem to exist in the digital world. I remember being underwhelmed by the Harb and A&A stories, and I never read the X-O "Rise of Lydia" story. But it would be cool to revisit them.

Thanks @Ryan for directing me to this thread.
Liked the concept, would have liked a lot more story though. Art on Ray Garrison was a bit odd but I’m guessing Kevin VanHook is getting up there in years now.
I’m glad Alien are giving work to VH1 creators
I wish they had the money for some of the VEI creators.
This book has 3 short stories. The second one was interesting but weird from a Japanese creator involving a maze.
Third story was good, it involved a fight against ‘Bloodjak’…yep a nanite infused Ninja L. Again, a longer story would have been better, not much can be told in a few pages.
Given how bad Bloodshot books have been since VEI ended this one was okay.

I agree would have liked to see more of the Vanhook story. This is why anthologies are tough, 8 page stories just aren't very satisfying.Dallow Spicer1 wrote: Mon Nov 25, 2024 2:28 pm Thanks @Ryan for directing me to this thread.

Yeah Vanhook has been mostly a writer in comics, and then made movies and did VFX for movies, so I don't think he's spent a lot of time drawing since the Valiant days. I always wanted to check out his Frost comics that he wrote and drew before Valiant, the characters are in VH1 canon also, they appear in Bloodshot 28 or 29 somewhere around there.
