VALIANT Heroes Reimagined As Animals.

Post by ManofTheAtom »

Let's have some stupid fun.

If there was a comic in which VALIANT characters are reimagined as animals in the style of DC's Just'a Lotta Animals and Marvel's Scavengers, which animal would correspond to which character?

Would X-O Manowar be an ox?

The mythological Zephyrus (spelled in English as Zephyr) was not an animal, but seems he was able to transform into or was associated with horses and swans.

Given the name that would be appropriate for Faith, and given that the swan fits her better than the horse that's the animal she'd become.

On the Facebook page it's been suggested Shadowman would be a swamp gator, Quantum would be a horse while Woody would be a donkey, and Vincent Van Goat is just a human named Vincent Van Gogh.

It was also alternatively suggested that X-O could be a lion, though I'd say that would be more befitting of Gilad.
:atomic: Comics are like a Rorschach test, everyone has a different opinion on what they are and can be... :atomic:

That is getting fanciful.

That's the thing though... they are. It's nowhere near hitting the high high standards of VEI's heyday, but it's already leagues better than DMG. Everything has improved fairly dramatically. There's at least 4 issues released every month, awesome Origins tpb's, a renewed focus on continuity and interconnectivity, and each of the characters are in a better place now than they were a year or two ago.

X-O Unconquered/Invictus blows Hopeless' run out of the water.

Bloodshot Unleashed/Reloaded similarly destroys Seeley's run, and is arguably even better than Salvation.

Ninjak vs. Roku is leagues beyond whatever Parker was trying to do with him.

Livewire's one-shot wasn't great, but it outclassed Ayala's series.

Faith and Rai's mini's, while definitely sloppy, concluded long-running stories that had been begging for conclusions.

The books have improved! They're making better creative/publishing decisions lately! Resurgence looks great!
There's more I could say about it, but the negativity is getting kind of tiresome on here.
