Turok #0 oh boy

Post by jakgrimm »

IDK if it is Turok's perception or Valiant going off the rails at that point (probably both) but Turok 0 has alot of facts wrong.

Turok says he met XO in Unity which he never did.

He says Mothergod created the Lost Land which she did not. (Maybe she lied to him)

He says the only way to defeat Erica was to destroy Lost Land (no "The") which I don't think was exactly true.

Why was he deposited in the 1990s when he is from way before then or way after (like Magnus time)?

I haven't read that in ages, I forgot all of that.

[Checks Turok 0 cover date] Oh yeah November 1995, the same month as X-O 51 and Shadowman 42. A good 5 or 6 months into Birthquake, long past the post-Unity 'semi-coherent' stage and firmly into the 'fever dream' stage.

I have the feeling this one was addressed in an early Turok issue.

I think the explanation was that he knew too much about technology to go back to his original time (17 or 1800's in Valiant, in Gold Key he was pre-Columbian).

The real explanation is probably that Layton wanted to give him guns and join the modern timeline to do crossovers and such.
