The way I'd do a Sliders comic I'd start with a reboot, showing new iterations of Quinn, Rembrandt, the Professor, and Wade go off on their journey from the start. I'd tell a more cohesive story, using the Kromagg as better defined villains, while still adhering to the original premise of the series.

THEN I'd have these new iterations land on the Earth from the first episode of the original series and meet the original Rembrandt, who in the last episode of the series returned to his home world and used the virus to kill the Kromagg that took it over. It would turn out that the new iterations are actually just variants from another world in the multiverse that happen to be younger than the original ones (sort of like in that one episode where they landed on a world in which Quinn was still a child).

I'd also like to see the revelation that the original Professor did not die, he was replaced by his double from the world seen in "Post Traumatic Slide Syndrome" who is the one that died on Maggie's world. The Professor could have put together his own team of Sliders from that world to find Quinn and the others.

Both teams of Sliders could then find a way to split Mallory back into two individuals and, somehow, restore Wade, who was last seen as a sort of head in a jar.

This was an interesting video I found on YT the other day.

Well that would answer the question that Sliders ended on, whether Remmy made it home or not.

The Kromaggs were more wasted potential. They were such a big bad boogeyman and rarely actually appeared.

I like the idea about Arturo launching his own Sliders team.

No resolution for Charlie?

Since he is unstuck, either of these groups would have to run into him during a slide and, conveniently, be able to anchor him.

Presumably any viable solution would have to create an environment like the one that held Geiger, but likely on a grander scale.

Maybe a massive Slide Cage that can contain an entire planet. Like a Dyson sphere. That might be the closest one could get to a permanent solution.

I said LIKE a Dyson sphere, lol.

But it would have to be built after Colin arrives on that world. It's not like he can slide into a world that is sealed off by a Slidecage.

Then again, he could slide into a spacecraft that is outside the Slidecage that envelops the Sol system just as it is going inside it, then once he is inside and the doors close he'd be safe inside forever.

Sliders did show worlds where technology was considerably far more advanced than in other worlds.

Did this hippie just call me a Sliders fan? I feel besmirched!

When Comet started showing Sliders, my wife and I ended up watching the full series. It was a lot like Andromeda or Earth Final Conflict - the first two seasons were decent but started dropping off. The fifth season of Sliders was way better than the fifth seasons of either Andromeda or EFC.

I petition Greg rename the site slidersfans.com.

I'm down for the Sliders discussion being a regular thing. I specialize in obscure/canceled/unpaired pilot media and I never find others that even know what I'm talking about.

Sliders at the end was nuts. Not really good nuts, but it was quite the ride. It was like Star Trek processed through a Hercules/Xena filter.

The first two seasons were the best. Once they moved from Canada to the US is when they lost the thread.

They really did try to make it right with the fifth, but the cast changeover ruined the narrative.

Quinn turning into a Kal-El archetype did not help.

I get wanting to make the hero hail from the same world as the bad guys, but it could have been handled much better.

For example, making the entire family refugees that escaped from Kromagg Prime to Earth Prime and making the Kromagg responsible for killing Quinn's dad would have been so much better.

Perhaps by population. Around 1000.

edit - according to Wikipedia, the 2020 census said 1435.

Who talks like this? And who posts in multiple threads the exact same message. New member huh? I bet its the legal team for Chris Fenton.

One thing that really bugged me about the last season of Earth: Final Conflict (out of the many things that went wrong with it) was that they brought back the actor that played the real Liam Kincaid, but they never acknowledged it on screen.

That is REALLY obscure. It took a little while for it to sink in what you meant, you were talking about the character who had (supposedly?) died in the SI War and the main character called Liam stole his identity to get close to the Taelons. IMDb says this actor appeared in one episode as the original Liam Kincaid but four episodes in the season 5 character. If you are disturbed by Canadian tv shows recycling actors, then there is plenty of room for disappointment.

IMDb also says that actor is married to Tori Spelling.

Season 5 of EFC was just horrible. Howlyn and his weird obsession with Rene Palmer. There was a period of time where Alan Van Sprang kept popping up all over the tv I was watching - Reign, EFC, Star Trek Discovery, Starhunter. I think I am safe and BAM! there is his face on Being Erica! I wondered if he was following me!
