Nintendo Comics System 2022 CGC numbers

The Calendar year is now finished for 2022 and the biggest growth of any Valiant side of collecting was seen in the Nintendo Comics System.

With the last CGC Census being updated 1/3/23 I'm guessing because of the holiday and it falling on a Sunday that the latest update would reflect the last entries of 2022 and not including any 2023 additions.

The CGC census in 2022 added a record amount of new submissions 1,807 to be exact

The top issues to be added were Super Mario Bros. #1 $1.95 cover +308
followed by Super Mario Special Edition #1 +238

In fact most issues in the run doubled their census amount in the one calendar year of 2022.

I'll dive more into specifics in this thread.

The weird thing is prices continue to go up even though more books are being graded. I have little hope of resuming my abandoned project to have all teh Nintendo books in CGC 9.8. I'm still top of the registry but only half way complete

Give CGC time.... they will make sure they grade some... they can't have their share not be higher to grade

Can I speculate that this market is not based on valiant collectors.
Maybe this influx of books is maybe more for the Nintendo community - or is that just me being ignorant of the market.
Also is it possible to find out how many separate individuals submitted? A stash may have been found.

Sorry, just free writing here, remember when Harbinger 1 9.8 sold for a high amount, then there was a lot of submissions when people realized it value. Maybe the same thing is happening here.
