BAD IDEA Eniac 1-4 Deal from Collector's Paradise (UPDATED)

So, I know I have made pretty strict rules about ordering Eniac before, requiring subscription at our store and all that fun stuff, BUT... life is different now since COVID, so I am going to relax the rules a little to help Dinesh and Co, and try to sell more books. It's a lot of work tracking a bunch of monthly books and keeping them boxed till the last issue comes out and shipping them 4 at a time, but that's my problem not yours so...

ENIAC #1-4 Set pre-order - $20 shipped (in continental US), via FRIENDS & FAMILY (or add 3% to the total) paypal to store (AT) comicsandcards.net. Books will ship after issue #4 comes out. I can't promise any extra stuff, but if there is promo stuff available, we'll add it to the package. I have been talking to the boys about it but nothing so far.

Local customers who can pick up from any of our 3 locations in Los Angeles, the total is $16 plus tax (17.63) same place to pay. If you pay online please leave a note with your store of choice for pick up.

b. I never said they don't know the release, I said it's not my place to announce it. it's theirs and they know when to do it. I don't think Dinesh has ever missed the correct timing on announcing things.

Thanks so much for expanding this offering to boardies at large!

Back in February when I first inquired, my LCS - MidtownComics for the record - said that there was a 10 book minimum to set up a pull list in any of their physical locations so that ended any efforts on my part to get this line of comics since I do not buy any other current monthly offerings and have no intentions of doing so (now that Walking Dead has ended - and that one I just picked off the shelf). I don't necessarily fault Midtown for this policy, but I was bummed nonetheless.

So, the quick answer is no, but let me explain why. At $16, we make VERY LITTLE on this deal. This is not like the old Valiant 12 cover deals plus variants and all that stuff. If I put it on the website, paypal gets some percentages and, when I add the cost of the comics, the labor cost to deal with each issue coming out, the packing and shipping cost, all of which has to come out of just $16, plus you add the fact that I am charging $4 for shipping, which I am subsidizing for at least half of the people buying (it will likely be more than $4 for anyone on east coast), the picture is not fantastic.

I am doing it for one simple reason. Dinesh. I hope that makes sense.

I don't quite understand this. Are we limited to one set per person? I have a 17 year old son who met Dinesh at NC Comicon years ago and we each wanted a set.

Call the shop first. It could be they are not open or it could be that Bad Idea has not sent the info to them yet. Make a relationship with them if you can, because you will need it for every BI book. I am here if that does not work.

Alright, will do. I do want to support a local store of course, but as I’ve heard nothing from them it started to concern me. It’s not my regular store, so I don’t know how competent/on top of things the staff are. Of course, Coronavirus and computer snafus are additional factors to consider, as you point out.
