Am I reading that Quantum & Woody E cover correctly? It's an incentive?

Cover E 1/20“Extra Virgin” Variant by DAVID NAKAYAMAkjjohanson wrote:Am I reading that Quantum & Woody E cover correctly? It's an incentive?
Looks like a 1:20

Didn’t even notice this earlier, no Psi-Lords in February! Guess it ends at #8...

Re: VALIANT ENTERTAINMENT February 2020 Solicitations
I think the pre-order solicited at the the beginning was for 12 issues. Maybe they're taking a break between arcs so the next one ships monthly?agent_graves wrote:Cover E 1/20“Extra Virgin” Variant by DAVID NAKAYAMAkjjohanson wrote:Am I reading that Quantum & Woody E cover correctly? Re: VALIANT ENTERTAINMENT February 2020 Solicitations
So no one else is gonna point out that Psi-Lords isn't on the February solicits? What does this mean exactly? As far as I'm aware, there was a 12 issue pre-order bundle. So are they just taking a break or is the whole thing cancelled?
I'll probably be getting all of these, honestly. Visitor, Quantum & Woody, and Dr. Tomorrow look good, and Rai I think is obviously going to be a hit. I've been enjoying Bloodshot well enough (haven't read #3 yet), so I'm fine with a double dose in February.

Re: VALIANT ENTERTAINMENT February 2020 Solicitations
I'm quite curious as to what this might do for this Q&W book. I mean we won't know about this experiment for some time AFTER the books sell, still I think we could see a stability in sales not seen in other books like Livewire.kjjohanson wrote:I think the pre-order solicited at the the beginning was for 12 issues. Also, could this mean an introduction of a new character, one that would matter in this entire shared universe? May be a bit of a stretch, but that would be a great use of a variant like this

Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me. Blood shot rising sperit shame on me. Everything else shame on them.GammaJosh wrote:You guys are even passing on Rai?! Ok...
It really hard to commit to something when the track record has been so bad.
Also I dont do mini's so if its a mini Im out anyway.
First rai I wanst that invested in any way so It a no loss for me.
Would I pick it up because so far its a good book no because the track record. Id be really upset on issue 5 when it sucks.
Im not a yoyo produce good stuff dont put crap out just because.
Im getting bloodshot make that stalar and Ill care to invest in others. Xo is their next chance to win me back. And what are thy doing with that. I'll tell ya. Lieing thats what.
Do I want to pick up low print run of bad books. Yes but I dont have money to waste on stuff I dont care about.
Amd when I mean invest in ongoings its invest my careing about the charaters and stories. And if it goes south that makes me more upset that wasting my money on potential high cost books in the future ie low run books.
I Miss the good old days.

Same. Not sure why I’m still pre-ordering Bloodshotagent_graves wrote:https://www.newsarama.com/47956-valiant ... tions.html
BLOODSHOT #0
BLOODSHOT #6
DOCTOR TOMORROW #1 (of 5)
RAI #4
THE VISITOR #3 (of 6)

Against my better judgement I’m ordering Doctor Tomorrow #1, I’m not pre ordering any other issues until I know if it’s any good.
Hopefully Rai and Visitor are delivering the goods.
Not ordering Q&W as been stung too many times with those characters. Comedy books just aren’t for me.

Also wondering why no Psi Lords in Feb. There's still a solicit up on Valiant's website for Jan's P-L #8.

Could be, just to give Renato a break. But still, no announcement either way...kjjohanson wrote:I think the pre-order solicited at the the beginning was for 12 issues. Re: VALIANT ENTERTAINMENT February 2020 Solicitations
x2 issues of the same title in the same month is weird.
I know I've always wanted a small number of monthlies published for the foreseeable so that I can stay all-in on the VU, but I think I can handle more than 6 titles per month... Gimmie 9 or 10.
Guess we'll have to wait for next month's solicits to see what ends up happening to Psi-Lords. I've enjoyed the first two issues so far at least.

They've done it before. I think issues of the first X-O series shipped the same month as either the X-O #0, Trill #0, or the 25th Anniversary book.Shadowman99 wrote:x2 issues of the same title in the same month is weird.

Keep in mind this is 2 issues of Bloodshot in the month that the movie comes out. They're going to want comics out there.

Re: VALIANT ENTERTAINMENT February 2020 Solicitations
The 25th Anniversary did come out with a numbered issue, but the others had their own months. I think Harbinger #0 and Bloodshot (2012) #0 were the only issues to out alongside a numbered issue.kjjohanson wrote:They've done it before.
