Re: Pressing
My Solar 10 book has already been graded, but today I received a delayed notice from CCS that my book was rejected for pressing. The email said the following quote:
“Covers comprised of ACETATE, LENTICULAR/3D, METAL, or CHROMIUM material as well as those containing EMBOSSING, GLOW IN THE DARK, HOLIGRAPHIC, or JEWEL embellishments are not suitable for pressing.”
They gave me a CCS credit on my next pressing order. The book came back as a 9.6 without pressing.

Re: Pressing
I’m assuming the part of the phrase “cleaned and pressed” regarding cleaning doesn’t apply to modern books.

I’m pretty sure they still clean modern books just probably minimally.StarBrand wrote:I’m assuming the part of the phrase “cleaned and pressed” regarding cleaning doesn’t apply to modern books.

Taking this off track. Have you read any of the House of X or Powers of X? I haven't ready X Men since Age of Apocalypse, and have enjoyed each issue of the the new X series.slym2none wrote: I was going to fill in my Uncanny X-Men collection that I started when I started buying them in 1983,

Re: Pressing
I haven't read X-Men since issue 492 of Uncanny, I think that's around 219 of adjectiveless X-Men. I haven't bought any comics in years, and haven't read much beyond a few trades in a while.tarheelmarine wrote:Taking this off track. Have you read any of the House of X or Powers of X? Such distinctions as "Uncanny" and "Adjectiveless" are lost to the sands of time.slym2none wrote:I haven't read X-Men since issue 492 of Uncanny, I think that's around 219 of adjectiveless X-Men. I heard both series were great as well but have not read them at all yet. Are they going to be limited series or ongoing?

They are minis that set up the "relaunch" of the X-Men universe in November. I saw they are planning a nice HC release that combines both series in chronological reading order (each week leads into the next right now for both), which would be a good way to read.
I am still reading this every week and enjoying the concepts by Hickman.
